Recent reviews of Glass Cup Painting Workshop

  • 5/5 from Winnie Siaw, attended Jul 2026: A lovely and calming experience! The glass painting process was simple and easy to follow, and the teacher was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. Highly recommend this workshop!
  • 1/5 from Anna Devaney, attended Jun 2026: Incredibly disappointing! Bought as a birthday present for a friend for us to do together and feel I need to get her another present! Despite booking well in advance they were not ready for us, had no table or equipment ready and were poor at pulling together (we couldn’t even get matching glasses to paint), starting ½hr late. Instructors were more busy with the glass flower making and gave us no instruction other than ‘add the oil to the paint’, no tips on how to paint on the glass or ideas for us to try. For the 2 hour course, they didn’t come and see how we were doing, when we needed something we had to go find it. There was only a tiny amount of green paint left and when asking for another one told they had none and to try and mix colours (while then walking off). At end when we needed to leave glasses and information on how to get in touch for collection just told to leave on side, no how was your course, no helpful assistance… we ended up just walking out 1/2hr early. The glass painting was still quite fun with my friend, but pointless as an advertised ‘class’. Appreciate at times they might be busy or even have an instructor off, but have the courtesy to move our session. Felt totally ignored and second class to the other glass flower course and so disappointed for my friend. It felt like they had overbooked and just didn’t care, will not be going back to that studio again. Have had many other much better experiences through ClassBento.
  • 4/5 from Simon, attended Feb 2026: Great setting and class with really friendly helpful staff. We had a great afternoon. Thank you.

Hi, I’m Binghui Song — a London-based artist working with glass, metal and ceramics. I studied at the Royal College of Art and trained in goldsmithing in Tokyo.
I founded SONG Art & Craft, a hands-on studio where anyone can explore materials through making. I believe creativity belongs to everyone — no experience needed.
Teaching brings me joy because I love seeing people surprised by what their hands can do. After years of practice, awards, and features, I’m still most excited by that first spark of curiosity when someone picks up a tool. That moment of joy is what our studio is all about.
You’re always welcome here — come explore and create something of your own.
