In this exciting Gelli printing class, you will embark on a journey into printmaking. Throughout the workshop, you will learn how to create stunning prints using the innovative Gelli plate technique.
Fear not if you are new to printmaking; this workshop is designed for beginners, and our experienced instructor will support you with creating some vibrant and fun designs from magazines, collage-free hand drawing, and cut shapes.
Gelli printing is used by rolling out acrylic paint or ink onto a gel-like square or round plate, transferring your print onto paper.
By the end of the course, you will have learned a new and exciting technique and a collection of colourful and vibrant art prints.
Course structure:
  • Introduction to the Gelli plate and look at some samples.
  • How to ink your plate and choose colours.
  • How to use images, stencils, magazines.
  • Creating a final piece of artwork.
