Join this full-day Japanese cuisine cooking class and learn how to create a variety of delicious dishes packed with flavour. This hands-on workshop is a fantastic activity for anyone looking to build their confidence in the kitchen and get to grips with authentic Japanese cooking.
Guided by a Head Chef and Assistant Chef, you will learn a range of essential techniques. You'll master the basics of using a Chinese cleaver to cut and slice ingredients, discover the art of wok cooking – including stir-frying and steaming – and learn the fundamentals of Japanese seasoning using ingredients like tamari and shichimi. A highlight of the workshop is learning how to shape and fry dumplings to achieve the perfect level of crispness.
This class is suitable for all levels of experience, from seasoned home cooks to total beginners. You'll have your own prep space to work at, and you'll cook at the hob in pairs, making for a friendly and collaborative atmosphere. With small class sizes, the chefs are always on hand to answer your questions and guide you.
You'll leave this experience feeling newly inspired, with a wonderful set of skills to impress your family and friends with your homemade Japanese cuisine.
