Lynn’s Living Kitchen – Foundational Fermentation & Microbiome MasterclassStep into the world of wild lactic acid fermentation with a Raw Vegan Chef and Hippocrates Wellness Lifestyle Medicine Coach. This intimate masterclass offers direct access to decades of expertise, guiding you through both the craft of fermentation and the deeper science of the human microbiome. This is far more than a hands-on workshop. It is a strategic exploration of how microbial ecosystems govern human vitality. You will understand what fermentation truly is, why it matters biologically, and how to execute it with precision at home. Alongside creating your own ferments, we will examine the microbiome not only within the gut, but also on the skin and in the environments you inhabit. The Microbiome: Your Unseen Performance PartnerIn a focused presentation, we will explore:The Gut MicrobiomeThe vast ecosystem of bacteria and microorganisms within your digestive tract that influences digestion, nutrient metabolism, immune function, inflammatory signalling, neurotransmitter production and the gut-brain axis. The Skin MicrobiomeThe microbial ecosystem living on your skin and its relationship with barrier integrity, immune defence and inflammatory balance. The Environmental MicrobiomeThe microbial communities present in your home, kitchen, soil and air, and how these ecosystems interact continuously with your biology. Why This MattersThese microbiomes do not function in isolation. They communicate constantly with your body and with one another. When microbial ecosystems are supported by a diverse diet and appropriate environmental exposure, they can contribute to metabolic health, immune function and long-term resilience. How to Support the MicrobiomeYou will learn practical, evidence-informed strategies to support microbial diversity through fermented foods, raw living nutrition and intelligent environmental exposure. Why a High-Vibrational Raw Diet Amplifies the MicrobiomeA high-vibrational raw diet is not a trend; it is a biologically intelligent framework. Living plant foods provide fibre, resistant starches, polyphenols and other phytonutrients that interact with the gut microbiota and support the production of beneficial short-chain fatty acids.Raw, plant-based diversity can contribute to a broader dietary fibre profile, while fermented foods can introduce live microorganisms and provide substrates that interact with the existing microbial ecosystem. This masterclass connects theory to practice, showing how daily dietary choices can influence the microbial environment within the body and, by extension, aspects of digestion, metabolism and long-term health.Hands-On Fermentation PracticeAfter understanding the science, we move into execution. You will create three distinct wild lactic ferments, each selected for both flavour and functional diversity:Sauerkraut – A foundational ferment that teaches the core mechanics of wild lacto-fermentation.Spicy Kimchi – A dynamic ferment delivering complex flavour and microbial diversity.Carrot & Cumin Retinol Kraut – A vibrant, nutrient-dense ferment rich in carotenoids and supportive phytonutrients. You will not only learn the mechanics, but the diagnostics: how to observe microbial activity, regulate variables, correct imbalances and refine flavour development. This builds fermentation fluency rather than simple recipe replication. You will leave with three jars of your own creations and the confidence to continue independently.Your Fermentation Experience IncludesWelcome DrinkBegin your experience with a refreshing welcome drink.Raw Sweet TreatEnjoy a small handmade Rawker as a sweet living-food snack during the day.Herbal & Green TeasA selection of herbal and green teas is available throughout the day.Fermented Tasting ExperienceSample fermented flax crackers, cultured cashew cheese or sunflower seed pâté alongside your fermentation creations.Recipe & Reference GuideTake home detailed instructions, variations and culinary applications to help you continue fermenting confidently at home.Optional Raw Living Food Lunch — £40 per personWant to stay on after the masterclass for a complete raw living-food dining experience? You can add our three-course premium raw living-food lunch for £40 per person to your booking. The lunch is an optional addition to the fermentation masterclass and must be pre-booked in advance so that everything can be freshly prepared for you.Your Raw Living Food LunchRaw Falafelswith chickpea hummus and fresh microgreen saladCaper & Pea Mashwith courgette noodles and fresh herbsCultured Cashew & Fruits of the Forest CheesecakeHouse Lunch DrinkPurple Pea Flower & Fresh Mint InfusionA beautifully coloured chilled infusion of butterfly pea flower and fresh mint, created especially for the lunch. This is not a conventional lunch. My Journey As I embrace my 65th trip around the sun, I live in the charming village of Laleham, UK, with my two adorable omnivores, Merlin and Mario. As a Hippocrates Wellness (Florida) Lifestyle Medicine Coach and UK Ambassador and Raw Vegan Living Food Chef, my passion is the preparation of raw, living foods and their profound impact on mental and physical health. I teach fermentation and culturing classes, as well as how to incorporate raw living foods into everyday life, empowering others to experience their incredible benefits. I teach and consult both privately and for corporate team-building, helping individuals and organizations embrace healthier, high-vibrational living. I live by the words of Ann Wigmore, co-founder of Hippocrates Wellness: “The food you eat can be either the safest and most powerful form of medicine or the slowest form of poison" I know this firsthand. In 2005, after a difficult relationship and bereavement, I suffered a complete mental breakdown, leading to early menopause. Hospitalized for 18 months, I was given countless medications that worsened my condition, causing my weight to soar from 8st to 13.5st. Yet, the real issue—my body’s imbalance—was ignored. Abruptly taken off medication, I spiraled into a deeper crisis. A test revealed my adrenal glands had flatlined, disrupting my body's ability to heal. I took charge of my health, focusing on adrenal support, transitioning to a plant-based diet, practicing yoga and meditation, and using infrared saunas. That was my turning point. Today, I’m thriving—happier, healthier, and drug-free for 15 years. What seemed like my lowest point became my greatest gift. My lifestyle truly became my medicine.
