Foraging Fridays: A Seasonal Creative Open-Workshop

An end-of-week creative escape to make our Holiday Home | Christmas Wreath, Garland & Swag Making Workshop

2 hours Location Mitcham Class size 1 to 8 (public classes), 5 to 15   £75 (£150 per class surcharge applies for private classes)

Foraging Fridays gets festive! A cosy, creative gathering where we'll turn seasonal greenery and nature's found treasures into beautiful Christmas decorations.
Fridays are made for slowing down a little, and I’d love for you to join us for something rather festive.
If you've come along to one of our Foraging Fridays before, you'll know that they're not your typical follow-along workshop. We gather around the table, explore what the season has to offer, try something new and see where our creativity takes us.
For the colder, darker months, we're bringing that same spirit indoors with Holiday Home, our Christmas edition of Foraging Fridays.
I'll do the foraging and gathering because it gets dark so early. You'll arrive to a wonderful selection of seasonal greenery, vines, seed heads and other natural materials, alongside all the lovely traditional Christmas bits and pieces. Think evergreen branches, grapevines, thistles, pinecones, dried oranges, cinnamon, ribbons, ornaments and whatever else nature has kindly provided.
We'll start with tea, coffee and some nibbles while everyone arrive having a look at the materials before deciding what you'd like to create.
Then, into the workshop...
You might fancy a traditional Christmas wreath for your front door, a beautifully rustic swag, a garland for the mantelpiece or a natural centrepiece for your Christmas table.
I'll show you how to work with the materials, build your base, layers and decorations bringing everything together. There will be plenty of inspiration and guidance, but I expect (and hope) each creation is wonderfully unique...That's part of the fun!
Once we've finished making, there's time to enjoy the company, admire everyone's creations and have another cuppa and on occasion we get the fire pit going.
There's no need to rush off the moment your wreath is finished. One of the nicest things about our workshops is the conversations that happen along the way.
Looking for handmade Christmas gifts?
Have a look at our Handmade Holidays: Christmas Gift Hamper Making Workshop, where you can create Pamper Hamper with five bath, body or skincare gifts from our Reset & Rituals or Winter Glow collections.
We'll provide the ingredients, packaging, refreshments and a festive gift-wrapping station so you can make something lovely for the people on your Christmas list, or keep a few treats for yourself.
A little note about the dogs
Our space is shared with two friendly (and occasionally diva-like) dogs.
They're usually very interested in welcoming visitors and can be a little vocal when everyone first arrives. Once we're busy making, they're generally happy to potter about or find somewhere comfortable to supervise.
If you have allergies or feel uncomfortable around dogs, please get in touch before booking.
And when the days get longer…Foraging Fridays: Spring & Summer
Holiday Home is our seasonal take on the original Foraging Fridays, which returns when the evenings are lighter and the weather is kinder.
During the spring and summer months, we'll head out onto the common together for a gentle forage, discovering what the season has to offer.
We'll gather fruits, flowers, foliage and other suitable natural materials before returning to the workshop, where the evening takes a more open-ended approach.
Sometimes it's preserves, while others are botanical printing, basket weaving or paper making....natural crafts always bring something completely different.
You don't have to follow the same project as everyone else. The idea is to explore, experiment and enjoy being creative together.

FAQ

Do we go foraging during the workshop?
Not during the winter sessions. I'll gather and prepare the natural materials beforehand, so we can spend our time creating in the warmth of the workshop. Our outdoor foraging walks return during the lighter months.
Can I choose what I make?
Yes! You can choose from wreaths, swags, garlands and centrepieces. We'll have examples and plenty of inspiration. The size and style of your creation will depend on the materials available.
Is food included?
Yes, we’ll have light refreshments and picky bits to share around the table. If you’d like to bring something along, you’re welcome to, but it’s not required.
See more FAQs
Can I bring children?
This workshop is designed for adults, but older children (12+) are welcome if accompanied by an adult who can support them throughout.
Will all the greenery be fresh?
We'll use a mixture of fresh and dried seasonal materials, depending on what's available. Some decorations will naturally dry over time.
What happens if the weather is terrible?
We'll still be making! The winter sessions take place in our workshop so we won't be relying on good weather.

  • 5/5 from Alison Kichenside, attended Sep 2026: Kate is so friendly and knowledgeable showing us where there were apple trees, sloes, rosehips, burdock etc. The walk was lovely. Between our group we picked willow branches and made a basket, we picked soft grass and made homemade paper and we both expressed an interest in learning crocheting basics which Kate was happy to show us. The time went so quickly and it was the perfect way to spend a Friday night. Will be back soon. Highly recommend.
  • 5/5 from Arthur Spain, attended Aug 2026: We had an amazing time!!! Kate is full of information and we were presented with lots of different things to make.
  • 5/5 from Evan Hobson, attended Aug 2026: Amazing workshop, learnt so much, had a really relaxing time, ate delicious food, and the space was beautiful. Most importantly discovered how much there is to forage to eat and create with in suburban London. Perfect way to spend a Friday evening
  • 5/5 from Molly Widlund, attended Aug 2026: The class was amazing! Kate was very knowledgeable, friendly, and welcoming and we so enjoyed learning about foraging. The walk through the commons was beautiful and we had so much fun in the workshop after making jams and using flowers and leaves to create prints. I would highly recommend this workshop, thank you kindly for the lovely evening!
  • 5/5 from Lillian Chang, attended Jul 2026: I LOVED IT! It’s a simple, relaxed workshop following Kate into Mitcham Commons to forage berries and flowers, and then walking back into Kate’s house for making botanical print tote bag and or other flowers related craft, whichever you fancy. We happened to have enough berries and even made a jar of jam out of the berries we picked. Kate is so lovely, so warm, friendly and kind. I had the best time. Will recommend it 100%!
  • 5/5 from Hannah Williams, attended Jun 2026: We had a wonderful time, thank you for having us Kate. We explored the Common, made botanical prints, paper and began weaving baskets while listening to jazz and the Indigo Girls. What a perfect evening.
  • 5/5 from Nicola Fletcher, attended Oct 2025: Kate was a wonderfully generous and kind host, it was one of the best evenings I’ve had in ages. I went to the class with a few friends and we had a blast. I won’t ruin any of the surprises but if you need something wholesome and creative in your life, do one of Kate’s classes.
  • 5/5 from Marybelle Cameron-Pack, attended Sep 2025: Lovely class! Kate was extremely knowledgeable about her crafts and had a variety of them available to us. She was very responsive before the class, asking what kind of crafts we wanted to do beforehand to prep for us. She even accommodated my dietary restrictions. I will be keeping her in mind for future activities as I think getting a group of friends together and working with kate is an ideal activity for the price! Thank you again for everything!

At Correll Club, we create relaxed, welcoming spaces where you can make things with your hands, try something new, and spend time around others doing the same.
Our workshops are designed to feel calm, accessible and genuinely enjoyable — whether you’re crafting natural body care, learning simple repair skills, experimenting with seasonal materials or just taking a bit of time out to create something for yourself.
You don’t need experience, and you don’t need to be “creative”. We’ll guide you through everything, using thoughtfully chosen materials and simple techniques that you can take away and use again at home.
At the heart of it, Correll Club is about more than the thing you make. It’s about slowing down, learning practical skills, and sharing space with people in a way that feels natural and easy.
