Me and my two friends went for a nice day out activity. The teacher was really helpful and easy going. The venue was good and had all the paints and brushes you could need. I feel like I picked up a skill that I haven’t done in years and came out with a lovely painting. I’d say the vibe was more painting than sipping but it was still a very fun day! Our price was discounted due to bank holiday and was definitely worth the price as we can take home the painting.

Such a great vibe and mood to the place. The instructor was friendly, easy going and helpful, they made us feel super welcome. There was a healthy choice of paints and other materials but not so much that it was cluttered or overwhelming. Definitely felt that the pricing is fair for everything provided and would highly recommend to anyone of any skill level as you don't need to paint like Picasso to enjoy your time and efforts here!

Conor was delightful and very helpful, giving everyone lots of tips on their own individual paintings, he was very encouraging and patient. Lots of colours to choose from and mix to create your perfect shade (maybe some more oranges needed though for future?)

We learned how to start with the structure of the canvas, mapping out where things will go and what to begin painting with to make it easier and quicker throughout the process. The snacks were a really lovely extra too! All in all a fab day - we'll definitely come again!

Decided to do something creative with my siblings and this class ended up being a great choice. Just by Finsbury Park station so easy to reach and Connor, who led the class, was extremely helpful and informative.

Costing £35 aprons, canvas, paints and easel were provided. Warm friendly atmosphere helped by the background music made for a relaxed setting. Three hours of painting ended up a lot more productive than I would have imagined with Connor's advice and tips. Worth giving a try for anyone interested in, or curious about, social painting.

Me and my friend went to this sip and paint for my birthday. I had not been to a sip and paint before but this was an amazing experience. Conner, the instructor, was so attentive and provided all the painting materials along with a little bag for us to take our paintings home in. You are provided with painting suggestions but you are also free to pick your own. The instructor is always available to give your guidance and suggestions if you need help. It was very good for the price and I loved how relaxing it is but also the kindness that ran through the whole experience. Would recommend!

It's not a "class" as such, you can just paint whatever you want but there are people on hand to give you advice and help with whatever you need. Great for meeting new people or going with friends. Really enjoyed it!

We came to the painting club as our work away-day and had a brilliant afternoon. It was really relaxing, and Kenya was so welcoming, encouraging and supportive. Only one of us had any confidence with painting, but we all enjoyed working out how to paint, and everyone came away with a painting they were proud of! The atmosphere in the painting club is lovely - it's the perfect place to come to unwind, spend a few hours chatting and try out a new skill.

I wasn't sure if it would be a guided class or just paint what you like (it was this option), either way I would have been happy.
Our teacher (didn't get his name!) was very friendly and helpful, and he would give us tips and tricks during his rounds of the group. If you needed more help he was always happy to talk to for advice.

I would have appreciated a quick outline upon arrival on what we are doing, the process and what resources and tools were available but we did arrive about 5 minutes late so we might have missed this chat if it happened.

Otherwise a very pleasant experience :-)

Nice activity but we expected some instructions, or at least an introduction, whereas we turned up, another guest let us in, and we were just left to get on with it with no real instructions including helping ourselves to paints etc. Its a fun experience, but expected something with a little more structure than turn up and get on with it.

Hello! Thank you for the review. The only reason the other guest let you in was because as I was walking up the stairs to go to the door to let you in and they were at the toilet by the door, they saw you and let you in! Sorry that was an issue.

It’s a shame that you didn’t feel there was enough guidance. A paint and sip is not a formal art class, as it states in the bio when you book. However, when I made the introduction at the start of the session, I did clearly say to please ask for any help you need. Everyone is a different level, and a lot of people don’t like to be disturbed in the session and prefer to just get on with - therefore I don’t like to hover over people too much. During your session, I remember going around and helping others who asked for it so it’s a shame that you felt you couldn’t ask for some guidance. We try to be present and friendly enough so anyone feels that they can approach us at any time. Regardless, we are glad you had a good time! All the best

I booked the venue for my birthday for a group of 17 of us. Kenya was super responsive and helpful in the weeks leading up to the event woth all my questions :)
The day itself was so much fun! A group of ranging experience with painting - some who have probably not painted since pre-school and some who paint as a hobby qute often. The inspo art work was really helpful in giving people ideas. I bought snacks and drink and the overall vibe was v chilled and exactly what i was hoping for :) thank you Kenya

Stumbled across this after randomly seeing some of Kenya's art - I was immediately obsessed by it, so thought I'd give this a go. I cannot rate this class highly enough. It was exactly what I needed after a stressful week and I did it solo too. The vibe was super chilled, the music was perfect and the creativity was flowing. Kenya was super friendly and helpful from start to finish, she provided all the materials and explained how to do everything. The venue just makes you want to create, which is really helpful if you're currently experiencing a creative block (like me). It also reeeeeally helped that there were images there to directly copy or adapt and make your own if you wanted to. It really was just about going there to unwind and create. This will definitely be my monthly mindfulness "thing". Lovely little hidden gem.

The venue was amazing, really cosy and cute vibe with great music! The teacher was lovely and so helpful especially when it came to getting my colours right for my vision. All the materials were really good quality and there were paintbrushes in abundance so we had lots of sizes to cater to our needs. We were celebrating a friends birthday and so it was the perfect experience for that. It would also be such a great date night option as well. I had a lovely time and cannot wait to hang my art up at home. 10/10 recommend! <3

For most of us (10 girl friends) this was our first painting class. Kenya was super helpful throughout - helping to mix paint colours, tips or brush strokes). Lovely art set up downstairs, lovely teacher

Great materials and set up - unfortunately we weren’t able to sit next to each other and were opposite instead which was a bit of a shame. The teacher was lovely although there could have been a bit more instruction or guidance for those who are beginners

We had a such fun time and the music was great but we had hardly any input from the teacher. She was reading or out of the room and gave very little guidance. Not quite what we expected for the money. It would have been good to have loo roll and towels in the bathroom.

I’m so sorry that I didn’t give you enough guidance! It is often hard to gauge how much help people want with their paintings. I always help those who ask, and try to be friendly enough so people can approach me for anything they need.

Regarding going in and out of class, I left the class room briefly to receive a delivery, the other couple times I was washing dirty paintbrushes in the sink which located in the room next door.

I apologise for the toilet paper, I didn’t realise it had run out, if I knew I would have replaced it!

We enjoyed our class so much, it was very chilled the 3 hours went by so quickly I could have stayed longer! Kenya was very helpful and relaxed, we listened to chilled music ate a few snacks and sipped on drinks whilst we worked on our masterpieces! Would definitely recommend and we will definitely be returning :)

I bought this for my friend’s birthday and we really enjoyed it! The room was small but atmospheric, there were lots of pictures to choose from for you to paint and everything you needed was supplied, like paints, aprons, brushes and even cups of water for washing your brush. The BYOB aspect was fun too as you get to drink what you like.

We didn’t get much engagement from the teacher though, so if you’re new to painting then this may not be the class for you. But if you know a bit about painting (or have a friend who knows like I did) then you should be fine!

This was a very fun experience for my friends and I. The session was 3 hours which is longer than most sip and paint offer so you didn’t feel rushed to complete your art. Of course, BOYB was most appealing and you save so much from being able to supply your own drink. The teacher was friendly, patient and understanding, she also had a good range of art that she we could choose from and replicate. I would certainly recommend this experience.

Went here for a birthday celebration and it was such a fabulous experience! SUPER convenient location - right near the station plus a few minutes from the park (great for pres and a picnic!). The teachers were also really attentive the whole time, and helped in any way they could. The materials they provided (brushes, paints, canvases, pencils, etc) and references we were able to use were fun to work with, and they also provided cups for the alcohol. Everyone else who was there also seemed to be having a good time - all in all, the vibes were immaculate ^-^ 10/10!

Nobody in my group had painted in adulthood until this class and it was SO fun. Kenya is kind, interesting and engaging. She encourages you to do your own thing but offers useful tips along the way if needed. Shes also super approachable and chatty. Lovely vibe, snacks provided, great music. The class is 10 second walk from Finsbury park station, and it's definitely worth travelling for. A really fun evening, I'd definitely recommend.

I booked a private session with my friends to celebrate my birthday and it was the best decision! Kenya was such an amazing host, the atmosphere and music was so fun, there was snacks, drinks, good vibes only.
There was also such a range of painting materials and we had so much creative freedom to explore different art styles, that you don't always find at other paint parties.
Kenya really went the extra mile to make sure we all had a great time!

I would 100% recommend booking this session, me and my friends absolutely loved every minute of it

Me and my girlfriend had a great session at our recent paint and sip with out teacher called Kenya. She was a great teacher who encouraged us a lot and also helped us with the colours for our painting. She provided treats for us while also allowing us to to drink (me and my girlfriend had juice). Overall it was an amazing experience and lots of fun.

Kenya was an absolutely amazing host! The vibe at the workshop was incredible, great music, friendly attendees and the painting itself was so much fun. There was plenty of paints and inspiration pictures so if you’re not sure what to paint you have the support and direction of Kenya but also inspiration to kick start your creativity. Kenya also came round with snacks for everyone which was so cute and thoughtful. If you’re ever in Finsbury Park you must attend!

A lovely first time painting experience for us! Kenya was very welcoming and helpful. The session was really free, we were provided with all the materials (paint, brushes, aprons, canvas) including some pictures for inspiration and then we painted whatever we wanted. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed, we made a new friend there too!
We brought our own drinks and we were also kindly given some snacks during the session.
It was great fun and 3 hours is surprisingly not as long as you think, depending on your idea and skill.
The location is great as it is just a few minutes from the station - although we had trouble finding the doorbell for the workshop but thankfully, two lovely ladies nearby pointed us in the right direction.
I would recommend it!
