It was a very calming experience, and honestly, I didn’t expect to have so much fun. The teacher was great and explained the process step by step, always checking on us and offering help :) Thank you so much!
  • 5/5 from Theo Rumsby, attended Mar 2026: Enjoyed the sign-painting workshop! The teacher was welcoming and knowledgeable, and had everything we needed. I particularly enjoyed the fun range of colours we had to work with, and the choice of letterforms we could make. We were provided a piece of wood to paint onto, with a choice of colours to have as a background for letters, and so we were able to get stuck in - the time we had was just about right to get our signs done. Overall a friendly creative environment at the Remakery.

  • 4/5 from Eleanor Hayes, attended Oct 2025: Class was a really enjoyable 2 hours. The class was well planned with the teacher well prepared with materials ready. The materials available were really high quality which added to the satisfaction of the end product. The teacher was kind, helpful and patient and was very generous with her materials and help. I liked the opportunity to try this using a stencil and with the materials to hand and it is definitely a hobby and skill I plan to pursue and which I feel I can confidently continue to do.

The Remakery started 10 years ago as a community space for repairing and upcycling furniture.
Since then we have developed several communal workshops for a range of eco-craft activities, and an exciting programme to link climate action with the empowerment of making with your hands.
Our practitioners have trained at London's top Arts schools, or developed their skills over years of self-discovery.
Our programme is curated by Alice Holloway; A researcher in regenerative fashion with The RCA and London Met university, and Innovate Creative Catalyst grant winning regenerative fashion designer.
The skills we share at the Remakery are proven to improve mental health, as well as change how class attendees see the world. We want everyone to feel empowered to make a difference, and we have seen how learning to make something is often in the first step towards changing something bigger.
