Join us in London for an August essential oil candle making workshop.
The workshop is a relaxed introduction into the process of using essential oils and natural wax to create botanical candles. We will guide you through exploring and experimenting with the oils to make your bespoke scent blend, before hand pouring your own candle to take home.
We will also discuss why we prefer using natural ingredients in the home, the difference between fragrance and essential oils, different wax types and how scent stimulates the olfactory system evoking memories and helping to create new ones as well as candle care tips.
The workshop will take place at miłość gallery, 29 Downham Road, N1 5AA.
The workshops have a run time of 90 minutes — this is a guide as the number of guests or the amount of time taken to experiment with oils can influence the duration. If you have specific time requirements please email us beforehand.
It is worth noting your candle will need to set for around 40 minutes to achieve a smooth top. We will arrange a convenient time to drop off/ pick up the candles, which will all be carefully labelled.

What you'll get
You will make a 120ml candle scented with your own blend of essential oils. We do offer different sizes and vessels, so please get in touch prior to the workshop to discuss if you would like to explore options (which may incur an additional cost).

Beginner to intermediate, welcome!
What to bring
I will provide all the materials and equipment you need to create your own botanical candle. You are welcome to bring along drinks, and if you're a private group, feel free to bring a playlist.

August run regular Essential Oil Candle Workshops from our calm space in Margate and miłość gallery, in London.
I was taught the craft of candle making by my grandparent Sylvia when i was younger -- ten years ago those skills were revisited when I discovered how hard it was to find truly natural candles without any synthetic fragrances for my own home. I have honed the craft and developed my own range of plant wax candles scented exclusively with pure essential oils. I have enjoyed teaching candle making for the last 8 years and take pride in creating a relaxed and inclusive atmosphere in our workshops.
