Hello, I’m Gökçen Ataman Tanyer, a sculptor originally from Istanbul. In 2020, I was honoured with the Sustainable Art Prize, which paved the way for me to be endorsed as a Global Talent in Fine Arts. Two years ago, I moved here with my family and our senior rescue golden retriever, Pamuk. I’ve always loved this country, and I’m delighted to now call it home.I recently opened my studio, The Messy Table, a cozy single-room space at Portland Road Studios in the heart of Kingston upon Thames—just around the corner from Kingston Art School.At The Messy Table, I offer a variety of creative workshops:Private Tufting Classes, Punch Needle Classes. Available regularly.Painting, epoxy and polymer clay jewelry... Fun, social workshops designed for families, friends, or groups who want to play with creativity together. My studio is still very new—so in many ways, I feel like a student alongside my participants. And of course, no session is complete without tea, coffee, and sometimes a visit from Pamuk, my 12 year old rescue golden retriever, who loves to be part of the creative atmosphere. I’d love to welcome you to The Messy Table and share the joy of making something by hand.
