Hey, I'm Ellie! I am a ceramicist, working both on wheel thrown and hand built funtionalware.

I studied Product & Furniture Design but decided to try something new so went away to a tiny island in the Baltic Sea to learn ceramics for a year, and haven't looked back since.

I absolutely love working with clay, and would love to share my passion with you. Come and join me in my studio and get your hands into some clay. You'll be learning all the different hand building techniques and finishing with a wheel throwing taster session.

This could be the start of your next hobby!

My partner and I booked this class to commemorate out 9th year anniversary, pottery year! Communication with Ellie from the beginning was great and finding a day and time that worked for everyone was super easy.

We made the mistake of copying and pasting the full address on Google and it took us to another studio (make sure you enter the postcode yourself!) - which meant we were a bit late but Ellie was super understanding and welcomed us with some ready made coffee and pastries. The studio itself was super cute and with ample space for the 3 of us, and a lot of natural light.

We started with some hand-building - one of us opted for a butter dish (which may be been a bit ambitious if you want to do some more time on the wheel) and the other did 3 stacking trays. We also spent some time on the wheel (more difficult that we expected but lots of fun!) and made 2 bowls. Not only we were taught how to work with the clay step by step, but learnt a lot about different types of clays, glazing and firing techniques (not that we did it ourselves, as that would require coming back another time, but it was great to understand the various options and how much you could expand on).

It was the first time we both did pottery and were very pleased with the final outcome of it and how much we accomplished in the class - great value for money, specially since the firing and glazing that will be done by Ellie is included in the price (not always the case in group classes) - we're excited to see the result of it in a few weeks :)

Highly recommend the class - if you're considering whether to book it or not, just do it, and have fun!

PS: Thanks Ellie for making our anniversary memorable and fun :)

We had group class yesterday with my family members.

The studio environment is clean and comfy and Ellie also prepared us drinks and pastries as well.

Ellie was so patience to teach us all technique also let us freedom to decide what we want to make.

We all spent a great time, learned a lot and made few satisfied pieces.

I would say it’s perfect class for individual or private group even for family activities. Definitely will recommend to friends if they interesting to try pottery.

We are look forward to see our final pieces when is ready.

Such a fun class with Ellie! So patient and encouraging with adults and 9 year old alike. We had time to try out all sorts of things - turning on the wheel, using moulds, hand modelling, how to make handles, use slip to stick things onThe time sped by because we were enjoying ourselves so much. Thank you Ellie! Hope we can come back soon.

We recently had the pleasure of attending Ellie's pottery class, and we cannot express enough how wonderful the experience was. From start to finish, Ellie's passion for pottery and her exceptional teaching skills made the class an absolute delight.

The atmosphere in the studio was warm and inviting, and Ellie's genuine enthusiasm for her craft was contagious. As beginners in pottery, we had no idea how it all works, but Ellie's patient and encouraging approach quickly put us at ease. She took the time to explain the basics, demonstrating various techniques with clarity and precision.

One of the things we appreciated the most was Ellie's personalised attention to both of us. She made sure to understand our individual skill levels and interests, tailoring her guidance to suit our needs.

By the end of the class, not only did we feel proud of the pottery pieces we crafted, but we also gained a deeper appreciation for this ancient art form, thanks to Ellie's passion and expertise.

We highly recommend Ellie's pottery class to anyone seeking a memorable and rewarding creative experience. Whether you're a seasoned potter or a complete beginner like we were, Ellie's class will leave you feeling inspired and accomplished. We’re already looking forward to attending another one of her classes in the future!

Thank you, Ellie, for sharing your talent and knowledge with us. Your pottery class was truly a highlight of our creative journey!
