Do you want some original artwork? Come and make it yourself at this printmaking class. It's a super fun thing to do in Cornwall and a great way to tap into your creativity.

During this four hour workshop, you will focus on drypoint printmaking with monotype. You'll get plenty of expert guidance from your supportive teacher and experienced printmaker John Howard who will lead the session.

All the art supplies you need will be provided, the printmaking studio is wheelchair accessible and beginners will get an easy introduction to this form of art. If you already know a bit about making prints, you can also join in on the fun and develop your skills with this class.

The printmaking studio is in Jubilee Wharf and is surrounded by other creative businesses and a cafe. You are also treated to some stunning views of the river. Unwind in the relaxing atmosphere and let your inner artist shine.

By the end of this craft class, you will leave with two or three prints of your striking art pieces to be framed. You could even give it to a loved one as a handmade gift.

John Howard is an award-winning painter and printmaker and is a fellow of the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers (RE) and an honorary member of the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists (MRBSA). As well as running his highly-regarded print studio, he is also an associate lecturer at Falmouth University.

Born in Birmingham, England, John worked in industry in the midlands for ten years before studying fine art as a mature student where he graduated with a first class honours degree. He moved to Cornwall for greater professional and personal fulfilment and now runs a printmaking studio in an iconic eco-building, offering courses, workshops and open access to other printmakers as well as making his own work.
