What you'll do
In this workshop, you'll have the opportunity to choose your favourite pattern from our extensive collection, and with two days of expert tuition, you'll get to bring your vision to life (please note that accommodation is not included).
With a wide range of designs tailored to different body shapes and personalities, choose your pattern and get creating a frock that will rock! Don't worry if you're a complete beginner, our small class sizes and individual tuition will guide you to craft a beautiful garment in just two days. Plus, you'll leave not only with your finished piece but also with a pattern to recreate it whenever you like.
To make the most of the workshop, you will need need to bring the fabric of your choice (calculated based on your chosen pattern) or alternatively, you can purchase from our hand-curated range of fabrics. In addition, a basic sewing kit including a tape measure, fabric scissors, pins, needles, and thread, as well as an invisible zip, will be essential. Be sure to bring along a notebook and pencil to jot down any important tips and techniques.

We design and make dressmaking patterns, inspired by vintage styles with modern sizing and run a sewing school to help you turn your dressmaking dreams into perfectly fitting garments you’ll love to wear. Our fabric shop sells a range of vintage inspired fabrics designed and curated by Designer and Sew La Di Da Vintage Founder, Caroline Smith.
We love sewing, making and creating! If you do too, join us at one of our sewing workshops or classes and try out our vintage inspired dressmaking patterns for yourself. We have sewing patterns for beginners, rusty returners and more advanced sewists. Workshops range from two hours to four days, and they all take place at our studio in the beautiful seaside town of Lyme Regis.
