What you'll do
Would you like to add more expression, confidence, and life to your sketching?In this vibrant class at the V&A, you will learn the art of expressive and mindful sketching. Using a variety of illustrative techniques, you'll explore different ways to bring your sketches to life and allow yourself to be in the present moment while doing so.Focusing on drawing an array of objects within the inspirational surroundings of the V&A museum, you will create loose freestyle sketches. Participants will be encouraged to develop their own style - tuning in to their unique creative side.You will work in pencil, markers and pen, adding accents of colour.Some tuition will also be given on proportion and tonal values, but the emphasis is to free your creativity, improve your mood, and bring life to your sketchbook.No need to worry if you're new to drawing; this workshop welcomes all levels of experience, background, and skill sets.Join us for an enjoyable sketching experience. Learn to draw, illustrate and sketch with experienced tutor and artist Natalie Arnold at one of her NA Workshops. She will be your drawing guide for the session!NA Workshops are engaging, calming, fun and educational. In her testimonials participants often comment on how much they have learned. For the beginner Natalie believes everyone can learn to draw and for the intermediate to advanced, there is always something more to learn or develop.Tuition is bespoke to the individual and using her expertise, the classes aim to guide you through various drawing & illustrative techniques, in an enjoyable and easy to understand way.NA Workshops are also available bespoke and on request. Natalie's skills have been brought in to add creative fun to social events, provide training to design practices and to connect creativity during team building workshops. Ultimately using drawing to promote wellbeing!Natalie is an artist and tutor based in London. After graduating in interior architecture BA Hons, she worked within the interior design industry, whilst also practising as an artist. She recently published an interior themed colouring book and is a specialist in interior illustration.
