After more than 25 years as a shoe designer, I created Antigone Creative Studio as a reaction to the overconsumption I witnessed in the fashion industry. For my Antigone collection, I make modern leather goods and handcrafted sandals using traditional techniques by hand, in Stoke Newington, Hackney, using luxury leather sample skins and offcuts to reduce the carbon impact.I am a Senior Lecturer in Fashion Accessories and Footwear at the Jimmy Choo Academy and am studying bespoke orthopedic shoemaking with world-renowned maker Bill Bird.I am offering a selection of hands-on workshops to share this lifetime of knowledge and often collaborate with other experts in the field to offer unique learning experiences and masterclasses, to show others how they can master the insider skills and techniques to create their own unique leather shoes, accessories, and bags with contemporary design and beautiful materials.
