  • 5/5 from Nilson, attended Apr 2026: Amazing experience as usual. I made a feast for myself and learned how to make multiple types of dumplings. Everything is well explained and you can see Hanna and Simon love what they do!
  • 5/5 from Rosie Corrie, attended Mar 2026: We made dumplings with Hanna and Simon. It was absolutely delightful - of course, the wontons and dumplings were delicious, but Hanna and Simon really made the experience special. They are fantastic people, and we’ll absolutely be back.
  • 5/5 from Benjamin Watts, attended Jan 2026: Loved it. Hanna and Simon were lovely, they both gave great advice. I enjoyed hearing the history of dumplings.
  • 5/5 from Alexandra Petroiu, attended Oct 2025: ️️️️️ Absolutely loved this class! The teacher was fantastic, patient, engaging, and full of great tips for perfecting dumpling folds and wonton sealing (which turned out to be way easier than I thought!). The session was really hands-on, and everything was clearly explained. I especially loved learning how to make the dipping sauces from scratch such a game-changer! The whole experience was relaxed, fun, and super delicious. Highly recommend it to anyone who loves cooking or just wants to try something new. I left feeling confident enough to host my own dumpling night!
  • 5/5 from Eddie Margolis, attended Sep 2025: It was a great experience, and Simon was a wonderful teacher walking us through the history and origins of dumpling making techniques.
  • 5/5 from Kate Andrews, attended Aug 2025: Simon was great! Had a great time and learnt a lot!
  • 5/5 from Isaac Cutting, attended Aug 2025: Hannah and Simon were amazing we had such a lovely time and loads of fun the food was amazing plus learning about the history of the food and the cultural difference between different areas of China and the food that is served was supper interesting thank you so much. We had a great time. Highly recommend from Isaac and Kiera
  • 5/5 from Natalie Hommel-Blasiak, attended Jun 2025: Fabulous class with Simon and Hanna! Would highly recommend. They were very welcoming and knowledgeable and provided lots of interesting cultural and historical information. They were also very accommodating as we are both vegan, so we were able to enjoy the class in the same way.
  • 3/5 from Boyan Filev, attended Jun 2025: First of all, I want to say that the hosts Simon and Hanna were both great, very welcoming and professional. The food was also very delicious and the facilities were clean and up to the standard. My only complaint(hence the average review) is around the content of the course. While we were preparing wontons and dumplings, all we had to do in the 1.5h was to put the pre prepared filling into the pre prepared dough and fold them in two different ways. We had to of course boil/fry them after which took another 10min. So in total the cooking part took 40min, 20min for eating and another 20min waiting for the other group to finish. Hanna and Simon could easily introduce making of the dough(that would take another 10-15min) and even the mixture and comfortably fit within the 1:30. Have done more than 20 different courses over the years and this is definitely towards the lower end of actual “cooking”. As I said all else is very good and I think by adding a few more very natural steps such as making the filling or even the dough it will give the impression that you are actually “cooking” while still comfortably fitting within their time frame. I hope they take this feedback in the right way as I think they e for a great family business which can do great. Thanks again
  • 5/5 from Julia Chernetska, attended Apr 2025: We truly enjoyed every part of the experience! A big thank you to Simon for the fascinating historical insights and to Hanna for the clear and detailed cooking guidance. The cooking class was such a thoughtful and creative gift idea

I also choose knead dough and chop mince by hands. I have to say I am tired. I understand how much preparation my mum does when she makes dumplings for us. Big thanks to Simon and Hanna again for another wonderful, delicious and informative cooking class.

  • 5/5 from Christiane Chak, attended Sep 2023: Very nice private class even we didn't choose the add-on. It is a nice shop with friendly teacher, Hanna. The wontons served in soup is my favourite among all three types dimsum in the class. Surprised to find they have home-made pickles and frozen dimsums. We bought some to have in the rest of week. Good to know the weekdays' day time classes are usually in a small class. We will remember the tip to book next class in a weekday.
  • 5/5 from Mark Steven, attended Sep 2023: This dumpling class is very amazing. Honestly I had been to similar class before. This time is a gift from my friend. However Hanna and Simon's teaching style is very fun and easy talking to. The food also taste lot better. I feel I learnt a lot with them even I had the similar class somewhere else. Definitely will book more classes with them.
  • 5/5 from Jacqueline Rosendahl, attended Aug 2023: It was a great experience. Interesting to learn a cooking style from a complete different culture. Our teachers Simon and Hannah were so kind and taught us the history of wontons and dumplings. The location was easy to find and the venue was cute and well air conditioned! They took some lovely photos of us that we get to keep as a memory! Only downer was the fact that we didn’t get to make the dough nor the filling as it was £15 add ons each. So for the price it was quite a lot to just fold a few and then eat. But still very enjoyable. Very yummy. They sent recipe as well on email. Would definitely recommend!
  • 5/5 from Shauna Kaunds, attended Aug 2023: Great experience! Teachers were very friendly and knowledgable. They were very engaging and passionate about their work. The venue was also excellent and very easy to travel to and from using public transport. The class was structured perfectly with all of the necessary material, meaning all we had to do was show up and enjoy! Great class all round, would definitely recommend.

We learnt the secrets behind the tasty fillings and will definitely try it at home as well. We made dumplings and wontons and ate all of them. It is very full but too delicious not to eat them all. Also Simon gave us the history behind all these food. It is very helpful to understand the topic.
  • 5/5 from Melissa Brown, attended Aug 2023: It is a very fun class. My teenager son learned to make the Dumplings first time. He enjoyed very much. Simon said he first time learned to make Dumplings at 5 years old. No wonder Chinese people are good with cooking. They started early. We shall bring our children here more often.

At Hanna and Simon's Foodie Kitchen, we believe cooking is more than following recipes — it is a craft, a culture, and a shared experience.
Founded in London with a passion for precision and authenticity, we specialise in immersive Asian culinary workshops that combine traditional knowledge with hands-on learning.
From sushi masterclasses to Chinese tea ceremonies and artisan dessert experiences, every class is designed to give you more than just a finished dish. We teach you the “why” behind the technique — so you leave with confidence, not just instructions.
Precision.
Our sushi classes focus on technique, structure and presentation.
We guide you to create beautifully shaped rolls with professional standards — even as a beginner.
Culture.
Our tea and Matcha workshops explore centuries of history and philosophy, helping you understand the story behind what you taste.
Creativity.
Our dessert workshops celebrate colour, texture and joy — turning simple ingredients into stunning, handcrafted treats.
We keep our classes small to ensure personal guidance and a relaxed atmosphere. Whether you’re joining for a date night, birthday, team event or simply to learn something new, you’ll be welcomed into a calm and thoughtfully designed space.
Many of our weekday sessions feel almost like private classes — giving you time to ask questions and refine your skills.
