In this hands-on embroidery workshop, you'll learn how to use decorative stitching to transform stains, holes, snags, and well-loved garments into beautiful, intentional design details. Rather than hiding imperfections, we'll show you how to celebrate them through visible mending and creative embroidery techniques.
Whether you've never picked up a needle before or you're looking for new ways to personalise your clothes, this beginner-friendly workshop will guide you through a range of accessible embroidery stitches in a relaxed and supportive environment.
Bring along a piece from your wardrobe that needs a little love, a stained shirt, worn jeans, plain shirt, or any item you've fallen out of love with, and leave with the skills and confidence to give it a second life.
What you'll learn:
  • How to cover stains with embroidered flowers, motifs and your own custom designs.
  • Master disguising small holes and snags with stitch work.
  • Add decorative detail to plain garments to make them feel personal and new.
  • Learn a handful of accessible stitches: running stitch, satin stitch, French knots, and daisy chain stitch, and have time to apply them to a garment of your own.
What's included:
  • All embroidery materials and tools including threads, needles, hoops, fabric scraps
  • Step-by-step guidance throughout the session
  • Complimentary drinks and snacks

I’m Rosette, the founder and designer behind Revival London - a slow fashion brand reimagining textile waste through upcycling, craftsmanship, and self-expression. I started Revival over 5 years ago while I was still in school, initially reselling and reworking vintage clothing because I loved fashion but wanted to consume more consciously. Everything changed when I learned how to sew and upcycle during my fashion foundation course. I realised discarded clothing could become something completely new, exciting, and personal, and I became obsessed with the creative possibilities of transformation.
What I’m most passionate about is making sustainability feel expressive, desirable, and accessible rather than restrictive or intimidating. My work blends fashion, storytelling, and education, encouraging people to see value in what already exists and reconnect with their creativity through making. My British-Nigerian and Ghanaian heritage also deeply influences my approach to colour, texture, craftsmanship, and the sense of individuality woven through my designs.
I love teaching because workshops create real connection. There’s something powerful about watching someone go from “I’m not creative” or “I can’t sew” to proudly leaving with something they made themselves. Teaching allows me to share practical skills while also helping people build confidence, slow down, and rethink their relationship with clothing and consumption.
Over the years, I’ve facilitated workshops for hundreds of participants across London in partnership with organisations including TikTok, TRAID, Fashion Revolution, Tate Britain, and Saatchi Gallery. I’ve also appeared on Loose Women and Katie Piper's Breakfast Show demonstrating upcycling techniques and speaking about sustainable fashion.
Some people are surprised to learn that many of my designs start with garments people would normally throw away - old denim, damaged clothing, textile scraps - which I transform into one-of-one statement pieces. For me, that’s the magic of upcycling: seeing possibility where others see waste.
