Many of us have a story inside just aching to find its way onto the page, and this can feel like an unrealisable goal. In this class students can commit to a project, a novel, novella, short story, series of poetry, and experince real-time support from the tutor and the group to stay accountable.
At Mata, we break down the process, giving an outlet for imagination to become a creative writing practise. Returning writers and newcomers, all find a supportive and inspiring space to express themselves.
Those who join us will benefit from all that returning students have learned and further teaching that deepens the understanding of what it takes to write successful narratives.
Our Creative Writing Workshop takes place in an environment where writers are encouraged to support each other's processes by sharing, listening, and giving feedback. This is also an opportunity to share your writing and be supported by your tutor in the editing and critique process.

I decided to do a degree in creative and Professional Writing quite late in life. I realised pretty quickly that I had found my absolute passion. During lockdown, my studies were briefly halted, and an important class project of collating and publishing an anthology was shelved. With support from the syllabus I decided to make it happen and focused on all the steps, from prose editing to formatting and finally getting it to the printers. I realised then that this was the path I wanted to follow. Suffice it to say I passed my degree with honours and swiftly set up the creative writing group at the London School of Mosaic. We are now heading into our 3rd year.
Supporting students to write their ideas into tangible stories is a constant source of inspiration to me. Our classes have become a very connected experience for those that attend.
