Creative Mindfulness: Stories, Senses and Nature Workshop

Reconnect with nature, your senses, and the stories waiting inside you.

2 hours Class size 1 to 10 guests       £25

Led by Lily Kalnakova
Immerse yourself in a deep exploration of the natural world. Become a wonderer. Ground yourself by slowing down and softening your heart. Open your senses to the wild world with its ever-changing seasons. Listen to the birds and to the old folktales and myths, and connect to their wisdom carried throughout the centuries. Allow yourself to play again, seeing nature with fresh new eyes. While we are outdoors, we can collect gratitude for all things little and big, our memories and dreams, and everything in between. While we are indoors, we can write and paint our untold stories which are waiting to be heard. By using ecotherapy, sense meditation, forest bathing, art, poetry, and storytelling, we will unlock our unconscious mind and allow the unknown to befriend us. No previous experience needed, and art materials are provided. Please wear suitable footwear and clothes for the weather. Bring yourself and your curiosity.

Southlands Arts Centre is a wonderful Queen Anne Grade 2 listed building with extensive, beautiful grounds. It is the perfect backdrop for all creative people. The Centre is used by people and groups who engage in cultural activities across the fine arts, music, photography, film, and craft design.
We are well known for our exhibitions held throughout the year and attract some amazing artists (many local) who regularly exhibit their work at the Centre. We are also the home for The West London Photo Exhibition and SouthlandsLIVE.
