Our journey began in our final year at London College of Fashion whilst studying for a degree in Womenswear. We had always admired each others' work, but it wasn't until our Creative Director suggested we collaborate for the annual Press Show that we decided to work together. That collaboration was a turning point for us as our collection was awarded "Collection of the Year" by a panel of industry experts. This acknowledgement from industry experts cut through our imposter syndrome and solidified our belief in our creative partnership. Not long after, we decided to start our brand, CREASE.
Our passion stems from the desire to create fashion that is not only beautiful but sustainable AND ethical. Sustainability and ethics aren't just buzzwords for us, they're core to our values. Every fabric we use is carefully sourced, and we make sure that all our manufacturing processes are environmentally conscious. We also only work with manufacturers who share our commitment to ethical practices. We even consider the impact of our packaging and studio practices. Every step of the process is a reflection of our dedication to making a positive difference. We believe in creating fashion that stands the test of time, both in style and environmental impact.
We never thought about teaching until we were asked to lead a silk scrunchie workshop in 2024. Apart from our degree in womenswear, we didn't have any formal qualifications in teaching but we thought, "Why not? We have nothing to lose." But after just a few sessions, we quickly realised how rewarding it is to help others uncover talents they never knew they had. The space created when people come together to sew feels sacred and unique, fostering a bond between strangers that nothing else can.
We have been fortunate to be featured in a variety of fashion publications, including Vogue, DAZED and Elle, where our commitment to sustainability has been highlighted. We’re proud of the recognition we’ve received, but for us, the most important award is knowing that we are making a positive impact on the world through our work.
