Join Elena at her atelier on the Thames for a creative writing collage experience. Connect with forgotten stories and uncover hidden narratives from within. Explore creative writing through text collage. Cut, rearrange, and transform found words into new narratives, shaping unexpected connections into your own original piece. This hands-on process bypasses the pressure of writing from scratch, opening space for discovery, play, and personal insight. Fragments become portals to echoes of memory, imagination, and new worlds.
In this words cloud collage workshop, you’ll be guided through a creative process that combines writing and visual composition. We begin with a short meditation and breathing practice to settle the mind. You’ll then be provided with magazines, newspapers, 30 x 30 cm white cardstock or A3 coloured paper card, scissors, and glue—everything you need. With gentle guidance, you’ll create your own collage of words, allowing meaning to emerge intuitively as you work. If you feel comfortable, at the end of the workshop, you’ll have the opportunity to share your piece with the group, if you wish, and we can enjoy a brief moment of collective reflection.

Location – Trinity Buoy Wharf
The workshop takes place at Trinity Buoy Wharf, a historic 19th-century site in London’s Docklands, where you can find London’s only lighthouse. Today, it is also home to one of London’s most vibrant creative communities, a sculpture park, event venues, and the iconic Container City™ buildings.
The entry gate will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., so please don’t be late. If you arrive after that, unfortunately, we won’t be able to let you in.

What to bring
BYOB – No drinks or food will be provided. You’re welcome to bring your own. The studio is close to local favourites such as The Orchard Café and Layers Bakery, if you’d like to grab a drink or snack before or after (both open every day until 4pm).

About Elena
Elena is an Italian visual artist and creative wellbeing workshops director, originally from Bologna and now based in London. Passionate about creativity from an early age, she studied Fine Arts and Sciences as a teenager before going on to earn first-class degrees, including a BA in Painting and Photography from the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna — where she also worked as an assistant to a professor on the etching course — a Graduate Diploma in Fine Arts from Chelsea College of Arts, and a Master's in Art and Science from Central Saint Martins (UAL). She is also certified in Creative Health and Wellbeing through Artmaking at Central Saint Martins.
Her background is as layered as her practice — she has worked as a photographer, artist, graphic designer, Fine Art restorer, and gallery assistant, exhibited in Bologna, Venice, Milan and London, and previously trained as a Hatha yoga teacher and Reiki practitioner. These experiences all shape her warm, holistic approach to art and teaching. Elena holds an Enhanced DBS check and teaches on platforms including Tutorful, MyTutor and Superprof.
Classes & Workshops
Classes and workshops are deeply rooted in health and wellbeing through artmaking, human connection and nature. Open to all, regardless of experience or background, Elena has taught students and professionals of all ages and nationalities, in one-to-one and group settings, both online and in person. Workshops are designed to be as accessible, allergy-friendly and environmentally sustainable as possible.
Her approach is relaxed and playful, encouraging you to connect with materials, with others, and with yourself.
