Collage and Mixed Media Workshop

This is not your regular Collage and Mixed Media social. This workshop is led with the intention to find the delicate balance between compositional elements and your personal creativity. Collage is a very generous technique that allows infinite possibilities for creation with materials that are very easy to come by.Led by Mina, an abstract artist with 10+ years of experience teaching and hosting events, this workshop is ideal for digital artists who are looking for a break from screens, for serious hobbyists who are looking for their personal angle, and for artists who want to practise a different media than the one they are used to.Garanto Art Club is a creative studio based in Kensington, West London, with a very limited amount of spaces, so don't expect the noises that come with big creative socials.Mina, the founder and lead artist behind Garanto Art Club, has a wealth of knowledge in colour theory, which will be used to our advantage in our compositions. We will explore different ways of creating with Collage, absorbing examples as inspiration in our own creative path.Mina is an abstract artist from Argentina based in London. She holds a Fine Arts degree specialising in Printmaking. With more than ten years' experience of delivering classes and workshops in different levels, she focuses on people finding their favourite media and preferred way of expressing themselves. She firmly believes that creativity is a powerful and incredible tool that everyone has; we just need to find the right community to train it.

• The event is 2 hours long, please be there on time to make the most of it!
• It might be a good idea to bring a tote bag or carrier bag to take all your creations home with you

Engaging in a hands-on craft activity has numerous advantages for our mental health and wellbeing, as it leads us to enjoy the process and be present in what we do.Expect many patterned and colourful papers, watercolours, acrylic paint, and various drawing tools. The plan is to have a chilled and relaxed moment while playing with artistic resources.The studio is a small and intimate space, intentionally curated to create a welcoming and absolute judgement-free atmosphere. This place is ideal for folks who enjoy arts and crafts but prefer a calm and quiet atmosphere. We focus on the process more than the final result, working towards, together, the enjoyment of MAKING.Booking early is highly advised, the studio has a capacity of 6 people max.Closer to the date of your workshop, you will get an email with instructions on how to get here, as it can be a bit tricky to find and you can’t see us from the outside.
