Make Christmas a little more handmade with this relaxed lino printing workshop at the beautiful Beckenham Place Mansion.
In this two-hour, beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll learn how to design and carve your own festive lino block before inking it up and printing your design by hand.
Using your lino block, you’ll create your own coordinated Christmas stationery set, including a hand-printed Christmas card, a sheet of gift wrap, and a matching gift tag. You’ll also take your carved lino block home, so you can continue printing with it afterwards.
I’ll guide you through the whole process step by step, from choosing or sketching your design to carving safely, applying ink, and getting a good print. There’ll also be a selection of festive templates available if you’d rather jump straight into carving (or don't feel like drawing yourself).
No previous printmaking experience is needed. This is designed to be a relaxed, creative session where you can switch off for a couple of hours and enjoy making something by hand.
All materials are included, so just come along and get ready for some satisfyingly inky Christmas making.
