Hi, I’m Colette, the creative spark behind Little Fixers in South London and the founder of Fix It Collective CIC.
I started Fix It Collective as a non-profit organisation with one main objective: to promote repairing and circular living. My journey began with a simple idea : let’s challenge the throwaway culture and instead give people the tools and confidence to fix and reinvent what they already own? This grew into Fix It Collective, a community rooted in sustainability, creativity, and connection.
What about Little Fixers?
Little Fixers is the name of our cozy space in the heart of East Dulwich. Here, we play, learn, and experiment from the youngest age upwards — showing that repair and creativity can be part of life from the very start.
Why I love what we do
For me, workshops are about so much more than learning a skill. By repairing, reusing, and making, you’re not only gaining practical skills and doing something positive for the planet; you’re also connecting with something deeply meaningful.
Our workshops are a chance to slow down, unwind, and reconnect with yourself and others. I love creating a warm, relaxed environment where people can experiment, make mistakes, and surprise themselves with what they’re able to create. Whether it’s a mum-to-be discovering the joy of upcycling during maternity leave, or someone learning to patch their favourite jumper for the first time, those little “lightbulb” moments are what I live for.
???? What makes our workshops special
We teach sewing, upcycling, and practical repair skills, but just as importantly, we celebrate creativity and encourage out-of-the-box solutions. You’ll leave with a unique item you’ve made yourself, plus skills and inspiration you can carry into everyday life.
A bit more about us
Little Fixers, powered by Fix It Collective, is all about collaboration. We’re a small but dedicated team that thrives on sharing ideas and letting creativity lead the way. We run workshops for anyone who wants to try something new, connect with others, and learn skills that help build a more sustainable world.
Whether you’re looking for a thoughtful maternity-leave gift, a mindful activity to enjoy with others, or simply a new skill to add to your toolkit, I’d love to welcome you to one of our workshops.
