Ceramics Workshop: Plant Pots and Vases

Treat your plant pals or flower friends to some handmade homes with this ceramics class in London.

4 hours Class size 1 to 14     label £80

Want to kick start your weekend with a creative blast?
This plant/vase making workshop is your solution! This workshop is suitable for beginners and for all ages – all are welcome!

You will dedicate 4 hours of hands-on coil-building and decorating large beautiful clay creations with coloured slip.

A demo of hand building with coils will kick off the workshop and after that, you can get your hands messy with pre-prepared coils (so the boring prep part is out of the way!) to maximize your time with us to polish off your masterpieces.

There will be a clay-fanatic teacher there to guide and assist you throughout the time.

By the end of the 4 hours, you will have a unique ceramic piece that we will fire and glaze (transparent glaze) for you, which takes 3-4 weeks. After this, they will be ready to collect from our studio or we can deliver them (UK only) to you at an added cost.

We look forward to seeing you and hearing about your lovely clay ideas and enthusiasm.

We had a really lovely time making some terracotta pots for four hours. The teacher was really knowledgeable and it was really good value for money considering the number of pieces we’ve come away with. A really enjoyable morning and some good memories and new skills!

My son is autistic and I wanted him to try a creative and expressive medium this summer. Accompanied by his sister both found the Saturday class extremely relaxing, both enjoyed the class, and both created a number of pieces that once fired they can collect in three weeks time.
The teacher was friendly and helpful.
Both said they would enjoy another class.

We (my husband, 10 year old daughter and I) attended a class led by Lenny as a birthday treat. Lenny was great from the beginning right the way through. She demonstrated clearly and was always on hand to assist. We were all socially distances and provided with aprons and all the tools we need. The atmosphere was lovely with some chill music playing and Lenny was funny and upbeat! We had time to create 2 pieces each and decorate them and learn how to build clay by hand. I would definitely recommend. We had a great time!

Teacher was friendly, showed us the technique and then gave us lots of freedom on what to create. Think about what you'd like to make beforehand, as there was a lot of choice! She comes round and is hands on if you need help, but is happy to leave you alone if you prefer. Teacher was generous with materials (I thought we would only be able to make 1 item, but it seemed to be unlimited). There was jazz music playing and the studio was really relaxing. Clothes got a bit messy, no aprons were given, but it washed out.
