What you'll do
Learn to make your own candle in the form of Venus at this beginners' candle making class.
Guided by an expert candle making teacher, you'll learn how to heat your soy wax, blend essential oils, set up your wick and mould and pour your wax to form your candle.
You'll also learn all about fragrance families and what top, heart and base notes are. As part of your learning, you'll discover the therapeutic benefits of essential oils and you'll soak up these lovely scents as you work on your Venus.
The materials you'll use to make your candle are cruelty-free, vegan, ethically sourced, eco-friendly and 100% natural. You'll learn all about different types of wax and you'll have plenty of opportunities to chat with your candle expert teacher as you get creative.
Candle-making is a wonderfully relaxing thing to do and the aromatherapy benefits of using essential oils to make your Venus candle at this craft class just add to the calming and creative vibes of this activity. Creating candles is a sensory experience that relaxes the mind by getting you in the flow and allowing you to focus only on the materials and the scent of your activity. Expect to experience a natural calming effect whilst taking part in this class.
By the end of your candle making session, you'll have made a beautiful Venus candle, you'll have your candle mould to keep for future candle making and you'll have gained a host of new skills that you can use for future projects. You're going to love it!

Have you ever noticed that candles make everything better? We did, but we kept finding ourselves settling for candles that were made from synthetic fragrance and paraffin. And they were too expensive to light every day. Because of this, we spent a year testing hundreds of fragrances, mixing waxes and experimenting with wicks to create the kind of candles we’d been searching for. This is how Yougi was born!
