My name is Tapasya, and I am a professional pastry chef with over 15 years of experience working in industrial kitchens. During my early internships and training, I developed signature recipes for several startup businesses in my hometown, setting the foundation for my culinary career.
Although I initially pursued dentistry in Russia, I realized toward the end of my studies that my true passion lay elsewhere. After taking time to reflect, I discovered a deep interest in the culinary arts. This led me to earn a degree in Hotel Management along with a Swiss Diploma in Restaurant and Tourism Management, where I was trained in fine dining and Swiss-level culinary finesse.
Growing up in a Brahmin household, with a strictly vegetarian father who refused to eat cakes—even those labelled “eggless”—I became motivated to master eggless baking. This curiosity evolved into an exploration of vegan pastry and eventually into transforming classic French desserts into eggless versions for my family and friends.
After marriage and becoming a mother, my focus shifted once again—this time toward developing healthier, chemical-free, and preservative-free alternatives as much as possible. Both my personal journey and professional experience have shaped the chef I am today.
I am now a French pastry chef based in London and a proud café owner, specializing in innovative, refined, and inclusive pastries that bring together tradition, health, and artistry.
