The last steps are using a special cement between the glass and lead to make the panel rigid and waterproof. The polish seals the lead and turns it dark grey.

The pieces of glass are adjusted using an electric grinder to remove sharp edges to ensure a tight fit between pieces of glass

The lead is nailed during construction of the panel using horseshoe nails to hopd the pieces of glass in place
