Lulu Lupin – Ukulele Workshop | Ages 5–7

A magical first ukulele experience at The Green Shed, Muswell Hill (N10)

5 to 7 years     1.5 hours Class size 1 to 12 guests       £15

This special half-term edition runs on Saturday 25 October, perfect for school-holiday fun.
Step into the world of Lulu Lupin – the wolf who loved music – and join FantaLupa, Long Paw and Tippy Tail for a hands-on ukulele adventure like no other. From the very first moment, kids are drawn into the story through tale props, gestures, voice play, body rhythm and physical action. As the tale unfolds, the group begins to strum, tap, and experiment with real chords on small ukuleles. Together we build a simple group song – shaped by the children’s own ideas – and perform it before the end of the session.
No prior music skills needed. Everything happens in a warm, playful atmosphere inside the Green Shed garden studio (N10). Carers stay on-site throughout – no ticket needed for adults. Ukuleles are not provided by default, so please bring your own or select the Octopus starter kit at checkout.
Venue — The Green Shed, Muswell Hill (N10).
Full address provided after booking for safeguarding purposes.

Hello, I’m Margie Jay — the founder of Ukulittle®, a trademarked brand dedicated to creative learning through ukulele, storytelling, and playful expression.
Over the past decade, I’ve developed a holistic approach that brings music to life for children and families, both in person and online. I’ve taught hundreds of students, led jam sessions across the UK and Italy, and even brought my work to the Bologna Children’s Book Fair, where I presented my animal character UkuLeela™ and shared my vision with international publishers and educators.
I specialise in teaching children aged 4–10, and I’m passionate about helping families connect through music — through rhythm, voice, creative play, and encouraging first steps with a real instrument. My classes often blend singing, improvisation, and gentle performance skills to help children grow in confidence while having real musical fun.
I’ve collaborated with nurseries, schools, and parent groups, and I’m currently developing project-based collaborations in North London.
Credentials — Enhanced DBS (on the UK Update Service, certificate no. held).
I’d love to welcome curious six-year-olds into a playful, creative introduction to music — where they can sing, strum, and shine in their own unique way.
