One-to-one Cricut Workshop

Join us in store and talk to a craft expert for tips and advice on your Cricut machine or project!

1 hour Class size 1 on 1       £28

Join a Hobbycraft Colleague one-to-one and ask any questions you have about your Cricut machine! Stuck on a project? Need help with Design Space? Trying to get to grips with using a new material? Our craft expert will share tips and techniques tailored to you.

This is suitable for all Cricut users, providing the opportunity to get all the answers you need about your machine. Whether you’re crafting with a Maker, a Joy, Joy Xtra or an Explore machine, you’ll be able to get excellent insight for all kinds of projects. It’s a great way to get a feel for your new machine or learn about features you’re not as confident with yet.
During the booking process, you’ll have the opportunity to let your Hobbycraft Colleague know what you would like to focus on during the session. They’ll be able to prepare for a personalised workshop that answers all of your questions.
You’re sure to walk away a Cricut crafting pro, ready to start making your next big project!

Bring a friend: You can now use the £5 add-on feature at checkout to invite a friend along with you, whether you’re working on a project together or you’d simply prefer having some company during the session. Your friend can enjoy any demonstrations given, and they are free to ask questions, but they will not receive the same practical, direct one-to-one support as is offered to the lead participant.

Please note: If you would like to discuss the Foil Transfer Tool, Knife Blade, “Print Then Cut” feature, “Curved Text” feature or “Offset” we would recommend that you book on to one of our online one-to-one Cricut workshop sessions as we are currently unable to demonstrate these features in-store due to them being for the desktop version of Design Space only.

Please note, our workshop spaces in some stores are located in open areas and we will endeavour to minimise interruption from other crafters.

Keeping everyone safe

At Hobbycraft, we want our workshops to be enjoyable, inclusive, and safe for everyone. Some workshops are suitable for children, and where this is the case, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for supervising their child at all times unless the workshop is clearly stated as suitable for independent attendance. Our colleagues and instructors are there to guide the activity and support a safe environment, and if any concerns about safety or wellbeing arise during a workshop, these should be raised with a member of staff straight away.

  • 5/5 from Tracy Elmer, attended Sep 2025: Very useful session, lots of valuable tips to help me with my craft projects, thank you
  • 3/5 from Kathryn Bennett, attended Aug 2025: The young lady was talked me though how to use the cricut, I felt that I could have got all the information from the internet, I presumed that it would be a hands on class where I would get to have a go not sit there and just be shown and for me to take notes. Once she had cut the item out i was given the chance to pull bits off the picture, which she then finished and attached to the bag. I do think for £28 you could maybe give out a copy information which would benefit the customer.
  • 5/5 from Lucy Brownsword, attended Jul 2025: Chloe was very good. Started right at basics which is what I needed & kept it simple. Answered my questions Feel much more happier & confident with what I'm doing with the Cricut. Excited to make a start now. Thankyou Highly Recommend.
  • 4/5 from Louise Jukes, attended Jun 2025: Great workshop, teacher knowledgeable and easy going. Answered all my questions. As a bit of feedback I would have been happy to pay for a bundle of resources to actually craft on a machine to create something. This would have given me a chance to try out the mechanics of the software & cutting/creating with the Cricut machine.

  • 5/5 from Anolin Stevens, attended Mar 2024: - I wanted to understand how to use my new Cricut Maker 3. - My teacher was excellent and gave me the confidence I needed to start using my equipment. - The venue was fine. - My teacher was able to show me what materials and tools I would need to access for future projects. I liked and got excited with what I saw. - I learnt to use the canvas. - I thought it was good value for money although I would say it would be nice to have a little more time to get to practice what you have been taught and ask questions whilst onsite. - Seeing the capabilities of my machine.

  • 3/5 from Sukhvinder Sah, attended Oct 2023: Hi I’ve purchased a cricut joy and still don’t have a clue on how to use it. I paid £16 last month to have 121 training however I’m disappointed as I didn’t learn anything.
  • 3/5 from Sukhi Sandhu, attended Oct 2023: For 1:1 training I would expect more confidence and preparation from the trainer. The rota meant that trainer had just started her shift and was not set up when I arrived - then took 10 mins to find all the cables needed to connect the maker 3. Not her fault but could have been set up by staff member on duty earlier? Chloe was nice enough however but I found I probably knew a lot of the basics. Not sure it was entirely value for money.
  • 5/5 from Claire, attended Sep 2023: I didn’t know much about the cricut machines until this workshop. Keeley was very informative and easy to talk to. Would recommend this workshop for any beginner.

She was patient, knowledgable and went at our pace. She gave us lots of tips. Chloe gave us written instructions that we could use when we were using our Cricut machine in our own time. We can highly recommend attending a workshop with Chloe.
