Tufting
In this tufting class, you will have the opportunity to create your own punch needle artwork using a wide variety of different colours and textures. You'll start with practice using four different types of punch needle tools and three different types of fabric, allowing you to master the technique before moving on to your main piece.
Don't worry if you're a beginner, this workshop is designed to help you feel comfortable and confident in exploring this creative activity. You'll have the chance to experiment with different materials and tools, and there will be options to purchase tools if you catch the crafting bug and want to continue the fun at home.
During the workshop at Touch of Craft in Ossett, you can enjoy the creative process while sipping on drinks available for purchase at £1 a drink, or feel free to bring your own snacks and beverages. Please note that the venue is not wheelchair accessible, but alternate accessible locations are available for this workshop.
By the end of the class, you'll not only have honed your skills in punch needle art but also have a beautiful piece to take home. So come along, unleash your creativity, and enjoy a relaxing and rewarding crafting experience!

Travelling workshops run by Kim Searle.
All my workshops are based on encouraging sustainability, building community and supporting attendees well-being. I am passionate about ensuring craft sessions are accessible to all, providing discounts on most courses for people on low/no incomes, seeking out venues that are wheelchair accessible and ensuring that workshops are calming with more of an emphasis on enjoyment and new skills over perfection.
I also run workshops at festivals including Glastonbury, Green Man, End of the Road, Underneath the Stars, Deershed, Wychwood Cornbury, Greenbelt, Just So, Beacons, FarmFest, BeatHerder and more!
I studied BA (Hons) Textile Crafts at the University of Huddersfield, specialising in textile printing. I’ve also studied weaving, felting, bookbinding, dark room photography and fine art printing at L'Ecole des Beaux Artes at Besancon, The Academy of Design in Kuopio and Leeds University, as well as studying a range of creative techniques on a foundation course at UcCA Canterbury.
