I'm genuinely grateful for this chance to open up and let you in on my world.My journey in the event planning world began in 2004 when my sister and I co-founded the boutique wedding agency "Fairytale Day." Here's a little twist to my story: I am Bulgaria's first certified wedding planner. Over the years, my team and I orchestrated more than 250 tailor-made weddings, ranging from high-profile celebrity affairs to intimate family celebrations. I even made appearances on various reality shows and TV programs.Fast forward to 2009, when the global recession hit, my family and I made a courageous decision to leave Bulgaria and relocate to the UK permanently. The economic crisis had taken a toll on our business, leaving us with no choice but to seek new beginnings elsewhere.Our first home in London was Wimbledon Park, and I instantly fell in love with the charm of South West London. Originally, we planned to expand our wedding planning business in the UK and open a flower shop. However, as you may have guessed, transitioning to a new country presented more challenges than we had anticipated. Ultimately, our dreams took a different turn.Instead, I focused on revitalizing my wedding planning business in Bulgaria while simultaneously working in the hospitality and beauty industry. Eventually, I became a destination wedding consultant for a company based in Kingston-Upon-Thames, a role I relished as it allowed me to create dream weddings in sun-kissed destinations. Then, the pandemic arrived, altering the course of my journey once more.The lockdown, which left me furloughed and far from home, presented its own set of challenges. With my husband working abroad, I found myself alone and jobless, uncertain about my future. However, this downtime provided me with a chance to reflect on my true passions. I felt a burning desire to start my own business that would fuse my love for creativity, spreading joy, and crafting unforgettable moments.As I observed the surge in online art classes, I couldn't help but envision a future where these experiences could come to life offline. The idea struck a chord with me, particularly after reading about the founders of similar events (you can delve deeper into this story on my blog, titled "What is a paint and sip party? The concept of sipping fine wine while creating art resonated with me deeply.I saw an opportunity to leverage my extensive knowledge and experience in orchestrating high-end weddings to craft an experience that would bring happiness and support well-being—painting while sipping a glass of exquisite wine!Our events offer a sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of London life, a chance to unplug from screens and simply bask in the moment with a smile. You can mingle, forge new friendships, and craft a masterpiece, all without any prior artistic experience.
