Hi! I’m Yumi — an English and Art teacher, originally from Taiwan, with years of experience teaching students from around the world. My journey began from a simple love of creativity and communication. I’ve always believed that learning a language or creating art isn’t just about skill — it’s about expression, connection, and discovering joy in the process.I started teaching while living in the UK, where I taught both children and adults from different cultural backgrounds. Seeing my students grow in confidence — whether speaking English or expressing themselves through painting — became one of my biggest motivations. That was the moment I knew teaching would become my lifelong passion.What I love most about teaching is the human connection. Every class is a new story — laughter, curiosity, creativity, and progress. I design my lessons to be fun, relaxed, and full of inspiration. My students often say they feel like they’re learning with a friend who truly understands and encourages them.A bit about my background — I’ve taught in schools, art studios, and online for many years, with students from Taiwan, the UK, France, and beyond. My classes often blend language, culture, and art — helping students not just learn, but experience creativity and communication in a personal way.Outside of teaching, I also create artwork and exhibit internationally — including in the UK and Taiwan — and my dog, BonBon (a 16-year-old rescue and certified assistance dog), often joins my creative journey. Together, we’ve even been featured in Wunderdog Magazine and gallery exhibitions about travel and art.Teaching, to me, is more than a job — it’s a beautiful exchange of ideas and emotions.
