Learn to build your very own self-sustaining indoor garden at this calming terrarium workshop in Sale.

Terrariums are fascinating tiny ecosystems that are easy to care for and add a gorgeous green touch to any indoor space. In this class, you'll create your own beautiful biome using a glass vessel with a cork lid and a selection of eye-catching terrarium-friendly plants — it's the perfect piece of sustainable DIY home decor.

Your friendly teachers, Vicky and Ella, will take you step-by-step through the therapeutic process of terrarium making, so don't worry if it's your first attempt. You'll cover the essential techniques, learn how to add decorative elements to your design and discuss aftercare; so your plant pal lives a long, happy life!

We’re passionate about craft but being able to make things you’d actually be proud to show off in your home or give as a gift. We also try to offer a range of activities that are a bit different, away from the norm but still being accessible for any level of craft skill.

Common Room is run by Vicky & Ella. Vicky is a teacher by day but also runs a perinatal mental health support group and is passionate about positive mental health. Ella has a creative background in photography and interior design and also runs her own business Ella's Garden. They've got a mutual love of craft and so decided to combine their skills and set up Common Room to facilitate other people to make and create.
