What you'll do
Book this this festive workshop and discover the art of modern calligraphy! With Christmas around the corner, it's perfect time to take up lettering so you can make your own personalised cards, gift tags and even your own gift wrapping!Modern calligraphy is a fresh take on traditional calligraphy lettering and allows you to incorporate your own style, making it completely unique.Whether you are a beginner or an improver, during this class, you will benefit from a friendly and supportive teacher who will show you the ropes. Using a nib and ink, you will be introduced to the basic techniques from the fine stroke at the beginning of an A to the flourish on the end of a Z. By the end of this class, you will you should be able to create a personalised gift tag or a festive greeting card as your hand finished product.During the workshop, there will be exercises that will help you practise the basic forms of modern calligraphy as well as opportunities to develop your own personal style of writing. Along the way, there will be plenty of time for one-to-one guidance so that you will walk away from this fun calligraphy class feeling inspired and confident with your new writing skill!
