One-to-one Cricut Workshop

Join us in store and talk to a craft expert for tips and advice on your Cricut machine or project!

1 hour Class size 1 on 1       £28

Join a Hobbycraft Colleague one-to-one and ask any questions you have about your Cricut machine! Stuck on a project? Need help with Design Space? Trying to get to grips with using a new material? Our craft expert will share tips and techniques tailored to you.

This is suitable for all Cricut users, providing the opportunity to get all the answers you need about your machine. Whether you’re crafting with a Maker, a Joy, Joy Xtra or an Explore machine, you’ll be able to get excellent insight for all kinds of projects. It’s a great way to get a feel for your new machine or learn about features you’re not as confident with yet.
During the booking process, you’ll have the opportunity to let your Hobbycraft Colleague know what you would like to focus on during the session. They’ll be able to prepare for a personalised workshop that answers all of your questions.
You’re sure to walk away a Cricut crafting pro, ready to start making your next big project!

Bring a friend: You can now use the £5 add-on feature at checkout to invite a friend along with you, whether you’re working on a project together or you’d simply prefer having some company during the session. Your friend can enjoy any demonstrations given, and they are free to ask questions, but they will not receive the same practical, direct one-to-one support as is offered to the lead participant.

Please note: If you would like to discuss the Foil Transfer Tool, Knife Blade, “Print Then Cut” feature, “Curved Text” feature or “Offset” we would recommend that you book on to one of our online one-to-one Cricut workshop sessions as we are currently unable to demonstrate these features in-store due to them being for the desktop version of Design Space only.

Please note, our workshop spaces in some stores are located in open areas and we will endeavour to minimise interruption from other crafters.

Keeping everyone safe

At Hobbycraft, we want our workshops to be enjoyable, inclusive, and safe for everyone. Some workshops are suitable for children, and where this is the case, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for supervising their child at all times unless the workshop is clearly stated as suitable for independent attendance. Our colleagues and instructors are there to guide the activity and support a safe environment, and if any concerns about safety or wellbeing arise during a workshop, these should be raised with a member of staff straight away.

  • 5/5 from Louise Collier, attended Jun 2026: I had a 1-1 workshop with Sam to look at getting started with cricut. Really enjoyed it and learnt a lot. Sam explained things really well and idiot proof. Which as a newbie I needed.
  • 5/5 from Heather Garrett, attended Mar 2026: An amazing teacher who taught me lots of tips and ways to really get started on projects and finally make the most of my machine. I've made 2 projects already!
  • 5/5 from Gina Cooper, attended Mar 2026: This class was a great help came away feeling confident
  • 5/5 from Lyn Carey, attended Mar 2026: Sam was very helpful, and talked me through all the basics of the cricut joy machine. Would recommend her to anyone who needs help and advice on any crafting machines.
  • 5/5 from Amanda Stratford, attended Feb 2026: Sam was absolutely fantastic, really clear & explained everything. I literally was ‘all the gear & no idea’ when I walked in & I now feel more confident to experiment. We reviewed making small card (place cards type) & looking at small vinyls for Tshirt printing. Highly recommend the 121 was well worth it.
  • 4/5 from Theresa, attended Nov 2025: I went to learn about cricut and its capabilities and some simple things to get me started. Teacher was great, really knowledgable and was able to show me around the software. Limited materials equipment were used, it was a shame the WiFi wasn’t great so we couldn’t connect and complete and end to end project.
  • 5/5 from Joanne Bester, attended Sep 2025: Thoroughly loved the course, very well explained. I just now have to practice on Design Space and if stuck then book another course lol. No occasion, my husband bought me the Cricuit 4 for my birthday for me to tinker with and hopefully one day make my creations into profit. I learnt about Design Space and all of its options and that there are some practice tasks to do which I'm looking forward now to dig in and get cracking on. The teacher was very thorough, spoke clearly and explained and engaged professionally. I loved the whole experience and also the ideas and pictures shown to me on what's out there to create.
  • 5/5 from Karen Marchenko, attended Aug 2025: Very helpful good fun
  • 5/5 from Rachel Ellis, attended Sep 2024: occasion was to learn more about vinyl and cutting vinyl. Kim was really helpful, informative and great attitude How was the venue, being on the open floor was good for looking at the products but other customers couldn't see Kim was in a workshop so we were interrupted at least 10 times. Definitely needs a sign. If materials were provided, did you like them? Yes all of them What did you do or learn? Soooo much Was the class good value for money? Yes and would recommend What did you like most? Kim's professionalism.
  • 5/5 from Gurminder Nijjqr, attended Jul 2024: Loved it. No need for YouTube and stressing over questions that’s need answering, this session was perfect. Really helpful and Jessica was ace!
  • 5/5 from Hannah, attended Jun 2024: Kim was so great! Very patient and great at answering all my questions :) so much knowledge shared and gained in just an hour :)
  • 5/5 from Lesley Hooper, attended Mar 2024: Great experience. Wanted to learn more on design space and vinyl. Came away and was able to do the things I was unsure of plus many more tips.
  • 3/5 from Karen Smith, attended Oct 2023: Firstly the lady didn't know I was attending. The shop tablet wasn't charged so she had to use her phone. So u couldn't see what she was doing. She wasn't able to help with print & cut. We kept getting disturbed by shoppers as we are on the shopfloor, which I think needs to be changed. I didn't get anything out the hour session tbh because of the above. Not worth £20. Lady was lovely though and showed me her projects. But couldn't really help for what I required
  • 5/5 from Becky Rowley, attended Aug 2023: Toni was brilliant and the workshop was well worth the money. It’s a bit frustrating having it on the shop floor, especially on a Saturday morning- I think there were at least 5 interruptions by other customers with queries. They were handled quickly but could have been avoided by having a more private space. The store had acknowledged what I’d asked for in my request (help with card making) and prepared for this with examples, but most of the session was spent going through my various questions and niggles with the machine, which was just what I needed! Once I’ve got to grip with these things I’ll be back for more.

  • 4/5 from Annette Lawson, attended Nov 2021: I enjoyed the class. Teacher went through the things I asked her to show me. I did have a go at doing the topper. I just wish there was a book to get, as remembering everything when you get home is a struggle. I did write some notes though. I will be going on some more classes in the future.

  • 5/5 from Iram Shah, attended Sep 2021: Teacher was friendly, let me try to work myself to see if I understood what she taught me. Had very nice session
  • 5/5 from Karen Mullen, attended Sep 2021: I really enjoyed the Beginners workshop with Hilary, she has a lovely friendly relaxed approach to teaching, especially as I’m not the worlds greatest techno queen and have no idea with the Cricut machine. So she had heaps of patience with me and made it fun, and she went at my pace. She’s very knowledgeable too! Held upstairs in Hobbycraft where it was quiet, open spaced, it was comfortable to learn. I’m now off to have a practice! I would definitely recommend this workshop, especially if you are a person like me who has to see it done visually in front of you, and it’s great value for money!
  • 5/5 from Catherine Starkey, attended Sep 2021: Knowledgeable instructor. I am a total beginner, so was very happy with the information given. Any questions I had were addressed brilliantly.
  • 4/5 from Ranjeet Kaur, attended Sep 2021: Hillary was fab and very knowledgeable. I know what I need to purchase now. Thanks
  • 5/5 from Miss Hetherington, attended Aug 2021: I found this 1-1 really beneficial. We were able to look at my project and talk through the stages. The pace was good, not rushed and I got to do tasks as well as watch. I was able to ask specific questions and feel more confident at using design space now. It was good to see the heat press in action. Would consider further workshops in the future, good value for money.
