Throughout the year, Hobbycraft host a variety of workshops in stores and online, designed to give everyone the opportunity to master a new craft or refine a long-time favourite. Whether you want to enjoy crafting from the comfort of your own home or you’re looking to meet new people as you get making, these craft workshops offer something for everyone.
Most of our workshops are led by colleagues from Hobbycraft stores across the UK, including craft experts from our Hobbycraft Artisan programme. They use their expertise in specific areas of craft to create workshops that show participants new skills and inspire future projects.

Our artisan Suzanne was amazing. She explained everything and encouraged the kids yo be creative. Would definitely recommend and we will be coming again.

A really enjoyable workshop for young kids, our 10 year and adult helpers alike. Loads to choose from, so all the Easter bonnets looked different. Great value for money. Having the hour meant that this workshop wasn’t rushed.

Girls had great time at the pumpkin paper mache session. There were plenty of colours to choose from. Suzanne was very nice and very good at explaining and giving suggestions. We will definitely book another craft session.

All materials were provided in the price and kids came home with a lovely personalised painted canvasit was timed right in terms of the session and the teacher was kind and helpful. She knew when to intervene and when to let the children just have a go!

The teacher, Suzana, was waiting by the door as soon as we arrived and we followed her straight to the craft room, this was great as no waiting around with impatient children. All materials were laid out ready and we started promptly. Suzana explained well throughout and demonstrated everything to my 6 year old son going at his pace and always ensuring he was happy with his craft. My son mentioned he would like his pot to be a jewellery pot so Suzana showed him how to make a lid for it, he was very happy with his end creation. In the hour session we made 2 different style pots and a lid. I asked my son if there was anything he would change and he said yes, It should be on every day! Amazing experience for the price we paid and we will definitely be returning, sooner than I’d anticipated apparently!

Our teacher was incredibly knowledgable, the best you can get!
Quiet private room to work in with materials included which was great.
I learned to hide my ends on a blanket I am making, very impressed.
For a first time hiding pink yarn ends, was pleased with how it looked. Great value for money…. Will be booking my 3rd, possibly a one to one workshop in the near future.

I booked this wreath making with my mother in law and can I just say it was amazing as usually this is my second time doing wreath making. Savanna I think the ladies name was which did the class and she is so patient and helpful

The class was brilliant, this was a gift from my mother-in-law. I went in knowing a few stitches but learnt so much more and a few handy tricks about the wool labels etc. Thank you so much to Mags for an excellent class. I have started making a scarf in treble stitch and it looks great.

Very friendly and helpful teacher. Started from basics which I needed. Private room to work in. Great materials included to work with, learned much more than I expected. Will definitely be coming back for more lessons.

I attended the rattan wreath making workshop with my mum who loves anything crafty. We both had a great time. The teacher was lovely, she gave us lots of ideas and tips, and it was great that she made the wreath alongside us so we could see how it could look. The room and resources were fab, it was nice to see things from other workshops around us which has inspired us to book onto more - the teacher was also clearly very knowledgeable about the different workshops and techniques offered by Hobbycraft and was able to give us more info about these. We couldn’t believe it when our time was up, we’d had such a fun time, the evening passed too quickly! We both love our wreaths and can’t wait to display them.

The kids clay sea creature workshop was great fun.
The materials provided were clean and easy to use.
The teacher provided good examples if what could be done.

The personalised canvas painting workshop was great value, as all the materials was provided.
My daughter finished her canvas in 30mins, so an hour was ample time for younger children or families with multiple children to complete their canvases.

J was brilliant she was really good with the kids and also spent time with us after the class walking around the store looking for craft activities we can enjoy over the summer.
The store was not expecting us so the class did not start on time and I felt we were winding up before the hour was done so better planning to enable a full hour of craft would be appreciated.
Overall the kids were happy and so was I. I will definitely book more workshops over the summer.

Firstly I must say that Susanna, my tutor, was brilliant. She was very helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, and explained everything clearly.
The room was practical and suitable for the purpose and I was surprised by the quantity of paints and accessories I was given to work with and take home afterwards.
I did two paint pouring pictures and I was happy with the results, and I also learned about paint consistencies' needed for pouring and received advice on how to move the paint around the board surface to give the best results.
I thought the workshop overall was very good value for money and would recommend it to anyone with similar interests.

I paid for 2 children, but in hindsight they could have shared a box. The contents were well worth the price paid, but there was just not long enough given in the class to use anywhere near half of the clay. This was the same for other adults booked onto the class. It would also have been nice for more stamps to be available.

Amazing class and brilliant everything we needed was all ready in a box. Teacher was very friendly and happy to answer our questions. A lovely hour away to relax and do something for yourself. I will definitely be doing more.

Thoroughly enjoyed this wreath making workshop with Suzana. Her advice was helpful, supportive and insightful whilst still staying relaxed and fun. The hour whizzed by (perhaps 90 minutes would be even better) and I've come away with something beautiful which I've hung straight on NY door. The materials were of good quality and the working space was fine. I definitely think I will come back for another workshop!

Teacher - Judith
Venue - central 6 Coventry, quiet comfortable room.
Materials - I bought my own project and machine
Was the class good value - excellent
What did I learn - I learned how to use my machine. Threading it up, running stitch, zig zag. Tips about different fabrics/needles, unpicking and cutting.
I just loved this session, I’m 61, I’ve had the janome machine for 5 years and haven’t used it and haven’t used a sewing machine properly, since the age of 14. I went straight home from the lesson today and finished the project.
In class, we removed the bulky side pockets from a tunic and it looks so much better and more flattering now.
I’d like to thank Judith my teacher today, what an accomplished lady, so gifted, knowledgeable, patient and kind. I appreciated the 1-1 tuition, I’ve learned such a lot today.

Great class! Hilary was lovely and patient. Showed good techniques with acrylics, perspective, and using different types of brushes to create different effects. With the kit included, really good value as well.
