What you'll do
Book your place on this one day beginners throwing masterclass and enjoy a hands-on introduction to wheel thrown ceramics. Running from 10am - 2.30pm, this course is perfect for anyone keen to try pottery for the first time or build confidence at the wheel. Your experienced tutor will guide you through every stage, from preparing the clay and centring on the wheel to opening your pots and pulling up the walls. You'll also learn how a range of pottery forms are made, with plenty of time to practise and create your own pieces. With a maximum of just 3 students per masterclass, you'll benefit from plenty of one-to-one tuition in a friendly and supportive setting. Your work will be dried, bisque fired dip-glazed and glost fired after the session and will be ready to collect 3 weeks later during out term-time collection times.

What you'll get
A range of pottery forms to keep Following your class, your pottery will be dried, bisque fired, dip-glazed in white and have a final glost firing. Your work will be available to collect 3 weeks after your course. Please note that we will only hold work for 3 months. During term time we are open for collections each Wednesday morning (10am – 12noon), Thursday afternoons (2-4pm) and Thursday evenings (6.30-8.30pm). Unfortunately we cannot offer collection on weekends as this would disturb students during their throwing lessons. Please feel free to call in at any of these times.
