The teachers are great and take you through throwing at the wheel step by step. Bring a drink with you and enjoy - and remember there’s no such thing as perfect (and there will be plenty of not perfect by the end!)

The teacher Glena was a joy and incredibly helpful, as were the assistants, with clear demonstrations for two different pieces. You could throw an unlimited number of times in the 2 hours which was amazing! The team were also incredibly accommodating of my broken leg, adapting the setup as needed and helping me carry things given I was on crutches. I would recommend this class to everyone keen to give throwing a go!

Gena was a great teacher - warm and calm, encouraging and inspiring. There’s a small beer bar next door where some people got drinks, and the venue is just 2mins from Brixton tube so plenty of places to get a bottle to bring if you prefer that. We made a bowl and a cylindrical vessel. You get to choose your favourite make and they fire it and glaze it for you - I’ll go back to pick ours up in 3 weeks. Highly recommend.

Glena suggested we may like to make the first pot together so that we knew what we were doing. Upon reflection, I think this would’ve been a good idea! It was fun to take your own alcohol and enjoy a drink whilst throwing! I’d love to try it again next time I’m visiting.

We are a team of 9 and all got to try some wheel throwing, as well as hand building over a 3 hour class. It was fun for everyone and a great team bonding day.
