Hosted by experienced boba baristas, you'll learn the ins and outs of making a variety of popular drinks. You'll learn a bit about the history of boba tea, how to create a variety of add-ins, mix flavours and present your final concoction with a professional flair.
Even if you don't know the first thing about bubble tea, your friendly hosts will be on hand to show you the ropes, give some useful tips and answer any questions you may have during the class.
After sharing and sampling the delicious drinks you've made, you'll leave the class with a certificate of completion, a head full of boba knowledge and a huge smile on your face.
The experience will include:
Learning about the origins of bubble tea.
Tasting and learning how to make 4 different types of tea’s (Black, Green, Ching, Oolong).
Tasting and making exciting flavours and toppings such as brown sugar, passionfruit, winter melon, mango, taro and many more.
Learning how to make tapioca pearl bubbles, golden jelly and white sago pearls.
Learning how to prepare three popular boba drinks to take home.
Please note for sessions with multiple guests this workshop will last around 1.5 hours, if smaller numbers attend this will last around 1 hour.

We attended a bubble tea barista experience as a team building exercise. Our teacher was knowledgeable and answered our many questions with ease. We learnt about the ingredients and skill that's involved in preparing various bubble teas which we found very interesting. Our favourite part was making our bubble teas, we enjoyed getting to use the ingredients and equipment and being able to take away 3 delicious bubble teas at the end was great.

Me and my girlfriend had a great time at this bubble tea class! Shreya was very well prepared starting the experience with a little bit of history on bubble tea and the franchise she is working at. Then we did some tasting of teas and toppings which was brilliant for us as although we have been having bubble tea for more than 4 years, we always get the same stuff and we don't try many new things. This was eye-opening for us to start trying different bubble tea drinks. We then made some green tea and tapioca balls. Shreya went over the instructions very clearly being careful over our safety when, for instance, handling very hot water as that part she mostly did herself. Finally, each of us made 3 delicious drinks! Overall, everyone at the shop was very nice to us and made sure we had a great time!

We booked a group lesson, which should include making 3 bubble tea, 90 min.
They did 3 bubble tea of choice. That was the nicest part - to make all by yourself. Given instructions were clear
Barista was nice, answered and explained all the questions asked.
One thing to have in mind - duration of the lesson was less than hour(!), not 90 min

I enjoyed mixing the drinks, using the machine to put the lids on the cups and learning how to cook the tapioca pearls. I made three drinks and got to take two of them away with me! I had thought though that we would be using the pearls we cooked in our drinks though. We stood waiting for the pearls to cook and then once they were ready we just left them to one side and used the tea and pearls already on the shop floor.

Teacher was very friendly and informative. Learned a lot about Yi fang’s process and how long it takes to make the teas, tapioca pearls, sago and golden jelly.
I usually don’t order the milk teas but made a chocolate mudflip, tapioca milk tea and pineapple aloe yakult tea. I only had two, the third was for my sister in law. The chocolate mudflip and pineapple aloe yakult tea were pretty good.

The class was very interesting to learn about the history of the bubble tea but it was a bit hard to understand the girl leading the class as she had a strong accent. More time making the drinks would have been good. Overall it was good and my daughter enjoyed it.

Booked a private class for a family members birthday. They decorated the window with the birthday banner, I thought that was very sweet of them.
The teacher is knowledgable and friendly and the class is held in the kitchen at the back where she showed us sample of how to make the tapioca pearls etc.
The last part of the class was to make our own bubble teas of our choosing according to their menu of course. We took turns and it was thoroughly enjoyable. By the time we get to make our bubble teas at the front of the shop, it was time for them to close the retail trade so it makes it even more private for us to take our time and play around.
We love Yi Fang as a brand and we regularly buy their bubble teas from different branches when we are out in town, so to get the opportunity to make it ourselves is special.
Most importantly, the birthday girl had a great time doing this class.

Our teacher was very patient with us and was able to support us through all the steps of making the tea. She explained about the tea, process, and helped us create our bubbleteas. The venue was quite small for 6 people, but manageable.
Yes, we enjoyed the tea and is what you'd expect from Yi Fang. Great value for money as you make 3 bubble teas. We needed more time as there were more of us. It would be better to advertise/be made aware before the booking as we'd make plans straight after the class. Would 100% recommend this experience!

Had a fantastic bubble tea experience yesterday with my family. The owner ran the class and was incredibly knowledgeable about all the ingredients that make up the Yi Fang recipe. We learned so much about the high quality ingredients that go into their premium product which I had never known before. It was very hands on and we then made 3 bubble teas to take home. Was great fun!
A wonderful and very informative experience. Our hosts were super friendly and engaging. First they ran us through the history of bubble tea and the brand yifang followed by a tasting of various ingredients and teas. Then we proceeded to the kitchen where we learned how cook fresh tapioca and other toppings ad well as different tea. At the last stage we made 3 delicious drinks each which we got to bring home with us. It was one of the best value for money and comprehensive class I’ve taken so far. I took my daughter and her friends for her birthday and we had such a lovely time. What I really liked about this class was that it was very hands on and engaging. And the bubble tea flavours we made were yummy. Now I understand why my daughter loves bubble tea so much and now I’ve also become a fan. A friend and I went to Yi Fang for a bubble tea barista experience which we booked through Class Bento. I cannot recommend enough! The team are so friendly and attentive, Zahra was our host and she had heaps of knowledge and ensured we really got stuck in. There's quite a few bubble tea making classes out there and this was such good value for money. You start the session learning about bubble tea and then get stuck in and have the chance to make tapioca and some tea. We then made our own bubble tea to take home. All in all a great time and would highly recommend!
