What you'll do

Join this lino printing class in Canterbury and discover how to design, cut, and print your very own bespoke fabric pattern.

After learning about Laura’s professional practice and seeing live demonstrations of the process, you'll get hands-on and carve your unique design into lino. Once your stamp is mounted onto a wooden block, you'll learn the secrets of planning a repeat layout and inking up your block for a professional finish. We'll be using specialist fabric inks to ensure your work has long-lasting wear and a high-quality look.

Set in the peaceful and beautiful Canterbury city centre, this workshop offers a low-pressure way to switch off and get creative. It’s a wonderful opportunity to master a new skill in a social, feel-good setting.

You’ll leave the session feeling inspired and confident in your new craft, ready to show off your handmade creations.

After having worked in fashion design for 15 years as a knitwear designer, I wanted to share my skills and knowledge in community settings, creating engaging workshops for all. I studied fashion design at the Royal College of Art, and I’ve always worked and created trend-led textiles, particularly in print and hand embroidery. I love working within teaching for creative subjects and now split my time between design and teaching. Working with the amazing people that come to learn textile skills is the truly inspiring and exciting part of my job that I just love! I am most excited about sustainable textiles and incorporate a lot of reworked vintage fabrics as well as natural dyeing into my workshops and practice. I am a trained creative teacher and have taught at many different universities and colleges within fashion and textiles, sharing my skills and knowledge.
