Please note: We allow a 15-minute grace period after your scheduled start time. If you arrive later than this, we may no longer be able to accommodate you, as we need to begin the workshop on time for other guests. In this case, please contact us and we'll offer you a one-time opportunity to reschedule.

Create your own adorable botanical charm using natural bean pods, dried botanicals and a huge selection of creative accessories in this delightfully quirky workshop. Every bean pod has its own unique shape, so no two of your little woodland companions will ever look quite the same.

You'll design your character from start to finish, choosing between single or double bean pods before bringing them to life with colourful yarn hair, expressive eyes, miniature glasses, fabrics, flowers, buttons and hundreds of natural decorations to pick from. Your tutor will guide you through every step, so it's a lovely, low-pressure introduction even if you've never tried anything like this before.

Once you're happy with your design, you can turn your creation into a bag charm, keychain or car charm – a one-of-a-kind keepsake to take home or give to someone special.

As a sweet finishing touch, each botanical charm keeps its original natural seed tucked inside, giving it a soft, gentle rattle every time it moves.

We had a lovely chat about her work and how much she enjoys what she does and she listened to me babble on with no complaints. She was patient and allowed us to have our space whilst still checking in every now and then to see if we would like any support, I felt very comfortable as did my sister who was there for her birthday. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants some downtime and to explore their creative freedom.

We did not feel pressured at all and we did not need to rush. There was a huge variety of decorations to choose for your design. You can even add bells, seashells, gems and flowers, other than nuts. It was very therapeutic and fun. There was lots of space for your creativity.

I gave him messy yarn hair, tiny glasses and a ridiculous little hat. Honestly one of the funniest crafts I’ve done in ages.

Mine had a slightly crooked shape, so I worked that into the character and somehow it ended up looking even better. The natural materials give it a completely different feel from a normal plush charm.

My teacher was so lovely and gave some really useful tips. One of the best things about this workshop is that there's no right or wrong. You just choose all your materials and get gluing. I'll definitely be back again to make another at somw point. You could make loads and still end up with something different every time. The time went so quick. It was just me and one other person in the workshop which meant there was loads of support if needed. Thank you for a great time!

Fire Petal is a very welcoming studio and there were lots of other people doing classes so it had a lovely bustling atmosphere. It’s a very free flow class, it’s more like designing a character than following lots of steps which means everyone’s is different! Had a great time!
