Bird & Blend was set up and is run by Krisi and Mike, who met whilst studying Politics (of all things!) at university.

Starting off packing tea in their bedroom and attending markets, building Bird & Blend from scratch while staying true to their ethos and values has been Krisi and Mike’s passion. Now with an awesome team, multiple retail stores and a thriving international online store, Bird & Blend is leading the way in tea innovation in the UK.

This class was given as a Christmas gift. My husband and I attended Bird and Blend in Sunday 17th March. What an enjoyable morning we had. Learnt a lot about tea and samples a lot too and you don’t have to be a tea buff to enjoy the day. Both girls were very welcoming and knowledgeable and made the whole thing fun too. Looking forward to trying out our own tea blend made on the day. Loved the goody bag, the whole thing, I would say is great value for money. Highly recommended.

A fun cocktail experience with a difference (tea cocktails). Interesting collaboration with Moonshine. Although some of the cocktails were not to my taste, the whole experience was really fun.

A fantastic class, magical from start to finish, the staff were upbeat and enthusiastic, they also had an extensive knowledge of the products! I would highly recommend even if you're not a fan of drinking tea I can assure you this will change your mind!

The class was well organised and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Cocktails (5 in total) were interesting and varied but some could have done with a touch more alcohol!
Quite expensive for what it was, but a good evening.

Absolutely Fantastic experience! I’m not a tea lover and the session managed to get me interested and engaged. Had a great laugh, learned loads and the 2 people taking the session were so much fun yet very professional . I would highly recommend!

What was the teacher like? - Lovely team, super warm and accommodating
How was the venue (if applicable)? - Great shop, only thing was no access to a toilet but there were local pubs with toilets so not too bad
If materials were provided, did you like them? - Yes perfect! Loved our little goody bag.
Was the experience good value for money? - Definitely!
What did you do / learn? - How to brew tea, the history of tea, and what tea I actually like!
What did you like most? - The staff were great and a very intimate environment with only one other couple

The booking experience was easy and the company followed up with an email the next day to collect full details. They also sent reminders closer to the date which was helpful so the communication was great. However it was a shame that the events were only available on Sunday evenings which wasn’t the ideal time for most people to do a lot of tea tasting.

On the evening we attended the class was led by Frankie and Liam who were very knowledgeable and efficient. We got to try lots of different teas and had explanation about the different ingredients. At the end we had a chance to make our own blends to take home. It was a different way to spend an evening and overall enjoyable, although I expected more focus on the making of the blends part, which seemed like a bit of an add-on as there was no real instruction and it felt like a more minor part of the session.

Ben and Kiera were fantastic and hilarious! They made the evening very fun and educational, we thoroughly enjoyed every part of the class - from the delicious tastings and the historical context surrounding the origin of such flavour.
