Hello! I’m Bella – the hands (and heart) behind Bella Jones Ceramics.
How I began & why I love this craft
Pottery found me 12 years ago, when a visit to Lisbon and the beautiful ceramics there shifted something deep inside me.
I was immediately captivated by the alchemy of clay—how a lump in my hands could become something both useful and beautiful.
That spark led me to lots of learning and to open Bella Jones Ceramics in 2020.
Today, I still marvel at how clay softens me and challenges me all at once—a love affair I’m excited to share each time I step into the studio
Why I teach
Teaching fires me up. There’s nothing more rewarding than guiding someone through their first coil, discovering their rhythm at the wheel, or seeing a glaze technique click.
I’ve watched people light up when they realise, “I made that!” My goal is to create a supportive, creative space—whether a first-time thrower or an experienced potter—where everyone feels at home and inspired.
Experience & credentials
- I launched Bella Jones Ceramics Ltd in September 2020, and since then have taught countless students in everything from weekend workshops to 8‑week courses. Our space in North Enfield is a friendly hub where creativity thrives
- We offer everything from short hand‑building sessions to complete beginners’ wheel-throwing courses, plus ongoing membership options for potters keen to carry on their journey
- I’ve hosted mindful team-building events, pottery hen parties, and private sessions—helping individuals and groups discover clay in a relaxed, joyful way
My approach
Teaching isn’t just about technique—it’s about community.
Our studio is “friendly and vibrant, ” where clay and laughter mix I’m there every step of the way, offering tips, troubleshooting glazing issues, and celebrating every vase, mug, or sculpture that students create.
