• 5/5 from Chris Spencer, attended Jul 2026: Bought this as a gift for my other half, I thought it would be a large class type activity; however, it was a 1 to 1 lesson with Mathew and I can honestly say having zero experiance of this activity did not matter to him, he was incredibly patient with us both and very friendly so you do not feel rushed or stressed. We can see he wanted to make sure we had fun and got to make some pottery that we can be proud of. We both came away from the class more educated and we now hastily await the proccsing of the pottery we made. Defiantely worth a visit, even if it's just to go in their cafe and have a coffee. Great team, fantastic time.

Neither my husband or I are particularly creative and so I confess to being slightly apprehensive about the lesson. However, we needn't have worried as Matthew's teaching approach is excellent and we had an informative and fun session with each of us creating 2 pots each. Highly recommend to all!

Matt was a very patient and engaging teacher, and he pitched everything at the right level for the group’s experience. Coffee and cake from the cafe downstairs was delicious too! Fantastic teacher, who gave us the right amount of input to be able to do it but also left us to our own devices. Being able to add colour at the end was an unexpected treat! Highly recommended.

This was a birthday celebration/gift for my mother and I, and I have to say the experience was so much fun. Mathew was a great teacher, very knowledgeable, friendly and enthusiastic. That was fun and we will return for other pottery classes in the near future. Thank you Mathew for a great day.

The studio was fine, we had a wheel each to throw our pots. The clay was easy to work and we all finished with a respectable pot after only 2 hours' tuition. Can't wait to see them when they've been fired!
