What you'll do
If you're a complete beginner and want the best way to start learning pottery, give a hand-building class a go! Using slab or coiled clay, you'll use your hands and some simple tools to make some gorgeous handmade ceramics that you'll cherish for years to come.
The classes are run by trained potter and teacher Mathew Dimbleby in his ceramics studio. Mathew will share the benefits of his years of experience as he teaches you some essential pottery techniques, all while giving you valuable hands-on experience (literally!).
Don't worry if you're a complete beginner either, as Mathew will be on hand throughout the class to dispense tips, advice and guidance, leaving you to enjoy the soothing and satisfying art of clay making.

What you'll get
All materials and equipment needed to make your hand-built ceramic/s to keep.These will be dried and fired before they are ready for collection, or they can be sent to you for an extra charge to cover the postage.
Your teacher
Mathew has been working in ceramics and art for over 3o years. He is a qualified teacher running pottery workshops for beginners through to advanced pottery skills. Dimbleby Ceramics was established in 2010 and has been running 5 star rated workshops since 2017. They have built a reputation for quality teaching, skills development and a experience that is fun and taught in a relaxed atmosphere. The studio is in a great setting with six pottery wheels overlooking a small wood and stream. It's a fantastic studio space to learn in.
