Beginners 5 Week Pottery Course

Start with the fundamentals of pottery, exploring hand-building and the pottery wheel over five structured weeks.

5 x 2.5 hours Class size 1 to 8 guests       £350 (PayPal Pay in 3 available)

Over five weeks, you'll explore some of the fundamental techniques of pottery, from pinching, coiling and slab-building to throwing on the pottery wheel. Each week introduces a different part of the making process, giving you the chance to work with clay in different ways and gradually build your skills.
As the course progresses, you'll bring together what you've learned through a personal project, where you can develop your own ideas with individual guidance, before completing your pieces with coloured glaze in the final week.
Designed specifically for complete beginners, the course gives you a broad introduction to pottery and the chance to explore both hand-building and the pottery wheel. Classes are taught in a small group of no more than eight students, with plenty of individual guidance throughout.

All clay and materials needed throughout the five-week course
