If crochet has intimidated you before, you're not alone – and this 1-hour beginner workshop is designed for that exact first step. Many crochet tutorials skip right over the absolute basics, which is why this experience works differently. You'll learn from scratch with a friendly tutor who's specifically trained to guide complete beginners, and you'll work through the fundamentals at a pace that feels right for you.
This workshop has been tested with over 20 people with zero crochet experience – and every single one of them successfully made their first project. You won't need to know anything before you arrive. No prior skills required, no pressure, just step-by-step guidance and that brilliant moment when you realise: "I can actually do this." By the end of the hour, you'll have created something with your own hands and a whole new sense of what's possible.
The best part? There's nothing standing between you and enjoying crochet. Come as you are, follow along, and discover just how capable you really are.
Our yarn librarian on duty will welcome you and guide you into the space, and from there your tutor will guide you at your pace.
If you would like to train your independent learning skill, you can book a Self-Guided Experience with a more affordable price.

After graduating in September 2023, I stepped into a confusing transitional period, filled with uncertainty and anxiety about the future. When I moved into my very first room after leaving student accommodation, a gentle image came to me: a bright white room bathed in warm soft light, adorned with trailing wisteria vines.
I finally decided to turn this dream into reality in September 2024. Thanks to all the encouragement and support from people online, my vision of a wisteria forest gradually came to life.
I’m still at the early stage — this is only my second year creating crochet wisteria. What makes my craft special? For me, crocheting wisteria has always been a peaceful escape. It lets me pause amid busy, stressful days and release all inner emotions. I never expected that this simple way of slowing down would bring so much joy to others.
I love teaching because I believe teaching is the best way to keep learning. Seeing others pick up new skills brings me great fulfillment, and we always grow alongside each other. I don’t have professional certifications or media features yet, but I’m taking it slow. My greatest wish now is to share this warmth and calm with every one of you, and I’ll keep moving forward step by step.
