I’m Hayley, the owner of Yellow Umbrella Gifts.I’ve lived in Newton Abbot for 17 years, and I share my life with two dogs, one child and one husband I’m neurodiverse, which I honestly see as my superpower when it comes to running a creative hub. And if you’ve met the lovely lady trying to keep me on track — that’s my mum Before opening the shop, I spent five years running a successful zero-plastic gifting business, and then went on to open my first physical shop in Newton Abbot. Nearly two years later, in May, I moved to my beautiful new home on Bank Street — and I’ve never looked back.Yellow Umbrella Gifts is all about beautiful, quality gifts from independent makers — many of them local. I currently work with over 50 talented small businesses, and I’m so proud of every single one of them.I’m 100000% passionate about what I do (and yes, apparently it shows). I love creating a shop that feels inspiring and ever-changing — displays are refreshed weekly so there’s always something new to discover. That passion has also grown into offering The Studio upstairs, where we now host a range of creative workshops. The shop has truly become a little creative hub — and that fills my heart.I feel incredibly lucky to have the support of this town.
