Whether you’ve never picked up a bead needle before or simply want to try a new technique, you’ll be guided step by step in a friendly and supportive environment. The instructor will be with you throughout the process to ensure you feel confident and inspired.
Q: What materials are provided, and do I need to bring anything?
All materials are provided for the workshop, including high-quality glass beads, thread, needles, and any tools needed to complete your project. Just bring your enthusiasm and creativity! If you wear glasses for close-up work, you may find them helpful, but everything else will be supplied.
Q: Will I leave with a finished piece of jewellery?
You will certainly aim to! The workshop is structured so that most students complete their earrings or pendant within the class time. However, everyone works at their own pace. If you don't quite finish, don’t worry—all the materials you’ve been working with are yours to take home. You can then complete your project in your own time, in a way that feels comfortable and relaxing for you.
Q: Will I be able to make more jewellery after the class?

I'm an Iraqi-Palestinian-Jordanian jewelry designer and the founder of Asherah Jewellery, where I create handmade beaded pieces that honor and celebrate Palestinian Tatreez. Three years ago, I found myself facing an excruciatingly stressful period in my life—including what felt like a premature mid-life crisis—and I turned to bead weaving as a coping mechanism. Then came the light bulb moment: what if I could incorporate a craft form that resonated deeply with my identity into my bead weaving? I tested the concept, found it worked beautifully, and Asherah Jewellery was born.What I love most about teaching workshops is that they always end up teaching me something, too. Every session brings a mix of skill levels, questions, and conversations—some participants come to reconnect with culture, others just want to try something creative with their hands. I've come to appreciate how no two people ever stitch the same pattern in quite the same way, and how those quiet moments of connection remind me that making is never just about the final piece. Teaching forces me to slow down, explain things clearly, and creates space for the kind of casual, meaningful conversation that feeds my soul.
