Bauble Making Classes UK

Shop-bought decorations all start to look the same after a few years. Handmade Christmas baubles are different: each one carries a design you chose, a colour you mixed and a memory of the afternoon you made it. Bring them out of the box every December and they’ll be the first ones on the tree.

A bauble making workshop is also a relaxed way to spend time together in the busiest month of the year. Your teacher sets up the materials and talks you through each step, so all you need to do is pick a design and enjoy the process. Depending on the class, you could leave with:

Homemade baubles also make thoughtful presents. Make an extra one at the class and you’ve sorted a gift for a grandparent, a new neighbour or a baby’s first Christmas.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need any experience to join a bauble making class?

No. Bauble making workshops are designed for beginners, and your teacher will guide you through each step, from planning your design to adding the finishing touches.

Can I take my bauble home on the day?

Painted and marbled baubles can usually go home with you once the paint has dried. Glassblown, fused glass and ceramic baubles need to cool or be fired first, so you’ll typically collect them later. Check the class listing for details.

Are bauble making classes suitable for children?

Many are, and some are designed for parents and children to make baubles together. Check the age guidance on each class before you book.

Can I book a bauble making workshop for my work Christmas party?

Yes. Many teachers run private and mobile classes, bringing all the materials to your office or venue, and some can host large teams.

Can I make my own baubles at home?

Yes. Our Virtual & Kits section includes Christmas ornament craft kits posted to your door, so you can make DIY Christmas tree ornaments at home.

When should I book a bauble making class?

As early as you can. Bauble making is at its most popular in the run-up to Christmas, and weekend dates often fill up weeks in advance.

Can I give a bauble making class as a gift?

Yes. Gift a specific class, or a gift card they can spend on any of our classes. Digital gift cards arrive instantly by email and stay valid for three years.
